Need suggestions on curtains for family room
Comments (7)Congrats to you and your new little one!! I have been looking for curtains/drapes for my dining room slider and I have found some great choices on jcpenney.com and also country curtains.com. Your room is lovely and I think a colorful print would be great... it would be shame to cover all that beautiful moulding but there are inside mount valances or how bout a panel on each window with a tieback.. for example, left window with tieback to left and right window with a tieback to the right.. then the moulding won't be totally hidden under panels on both sides of the window...hopefully i am making sense.. and for the slider either a matching valance or a slider panel.. I have ordered panels for my slider from jcp that are backordered but should be shipped any day now.. My room is painted Behr winter wheat with white wainscotting on bottom half of the walls so I went with spicy red to add some more color to the room.. I'll post a pic when they come in.. I hope I was some help but most of all wanted to welcome you to this forum. I am quite new here myself and I am sure you will get some wonderful ideas from the amazing people on this site....See MoreWall color and curtain suggestion for turqouise living room
Comments (27)Thank you for all your comments. I ve moved the new house, without painting the walls. I wanted to see my furniture in the room, then wanted to decide exactly. ı placed the furnitures in this way. nowadays im thinking about teal/ bali colors behind the console and creme sofa and a goldy paint behind the turqoise sofa. How does it sound...? About curtains. I dont want to use brown, beige colors for. What about curtains a gold colored curtain or light teal tones. How would it be? Im so confused. :( Thank you very much for your help....See MoreSeeking suggestions for curtains
Comments (11)Pretty sofa! There are so many directions you could go ... if it was me, I’d do solid cream colored curtains. A nice backdrop for your dramatic blue and the multi-color mirror. But you could do navy, lighter blue, any tone of gray, etc. For instance these silky ones (lots of places sell these) — https://www.potterybarn.com/products/dupioni-silk-pole-pocket-drape-ivory/?catalogId=84&sku=9147844&cm_ven=PLA&cm_cat=Google&cm_pla=Windows%20%3E%20All%20Curtains&region_id=680400&cm_ite=9147844&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIy_W0hOru7AIV0sDACh3c5wG9EAQYAiABEgIdGPD_BwE...See MoreBay window curtain suggestions?
Comments (40)It is SO GREAT getting all these extra suggestions! 😁 Having a better idea of exactly what fits is definitely going to help when I pick the black piano; I might look for one a little smaller actually. And yes, I really like the look of the baby grand piano...particularly from the front/keys side 😉 I tried option 1 this afternoon, basically just moved the piano and couch into positions, but to me, it didn't work right. Piano can't be pushed close enough to the wall/corner (bc of bench and angle with window) so it almost sits in the center of the room. Piano seems much bigger in that position and makes the room feel much smaller. Didn't like it. I'm probably gonna go with option 3. Just a matter of filling in the rest of the space correctly. Did we determine if a set of taller, narrow chairs would fit in the bay?? I will not be using that turquoise patterned chair, or the floor lamp. I don't want to cram too much into the space but I definitely need to add to the room! I'm leaning towards adding curtains to frame the whole bay window (like photo decorenthusiast ). Would you suggest picking a rug or the curtains first? Or does it not really matter? I'll post some when I find a couple I like, would love your feedback!...See MoreCelery.
