Just curious -- do you have a king or a queen sized bed?
Comments (39)Thanks again for all the great responses here. I'm happy to report that just tonight I finally made my decision and ordered a king! I went with the Novaform memory foam from Costco (they're on sale this week). I'm a bit nervous -- a bed seems like such a crucial purchase and it's so easy to get wrong -- but I feel like anything will be better than our tired old mattress. I need to decide what sort of actual bed to get with it. Since we previously had a queen I can't use the same box springs with the new mattress. I realize no box spring is necessary, but we don't even have a bed frame of any kind. We may buy a really nice bed sometime in the future, but for now I just want to sleep comfortably! I suppose it will be okay on the floor for a while, but I'll need to think of something pretty quickly. I don't think my poor old knees could take getting out a bed on the floor for too long! Thanks again for your input -- it really helped our decision-making process....See Morewhat size king bed do I buy
Comments (8)I think part of it depends on where you live too. If you live in California - it will be easier to purchase sheets etc. without having to shop around more for a California King. If you live elsewhere then a King will be much easier. We have a California King and I like it, but would go for the extra width if you could. We got the California King because I hate having my head right up against the headboard and if I don't do that on a Regular King then my feet will hang over the end when stretched out....See MoreTwin or Full size beds for kids sharing room
Comments (17)sonni1 I'm worried about that as well. The bed being too small in a short period of time so I'm looking for beds that are fairly sturdy but reasonably priced as well I've been seeing beds bu this company South Shore and they have all the features I am looking for but I'm not so sure of how sturdy their products are. I don't expect them to be solid wood type quality but does anyone have experience with this company's beds and can speak to their quality? Thank you...See MoreConsidering a new bed - questions about king size
Comments (28)We went from a King to a Queen. We downsized houses and our Master bedroom is smaller. The King just ate up the room and I also HATED putting sheets on the King. To make it easier to figure out which side was the top/bottom or side/side of the fitted sheet, I got sheets that had an up and down pattern. I decided to get the Queen and we personally like it so much better! We got a flanged bed from Wayfair-it is a platform-upholstered headboard and all the way around-so no sharp corners and is very sturdy. Hubby is 5'10 and I'm 5'4" so we fit in the Queen really well....See Moreana_46
