Help me choose please
Comments (5)Three or four that have done well for me are: Traviata - it's a Romantica, too medium red, very double, cup shaped. I let mine grow as big as they want about 12'h x6'w. It blooms most of the spring/summer/fall. I have 3 (2 were rooted from the mother plant), 2 in full sun, 1 in partial shade (it's much smaller but still healthy), so it seems tolerant to varying conditions. It's only fault is, although BS resistant, it will need to be sprayed, but less so than average, definitely less than most HT's and Abe Darby. James Galway - it's a David Austin. It is a another monster about the size of Traviata. It's flowers are pompom shaped and pink with a little lavender. so this could work if you want something diferent. It gets NO disease in my garden, which is pretty amazing for this area. It is THORNLESS. It makes an over all good landscape plant. It's only fault is, it is not a heavy bloomer. A beautiful spring show, with a few in the fall and not much in between. The first couple yrs it hardy bloomed and I almost sp'ed it. Heritage - also a DA. good bloomer, disease resistant. semi-double shell pink, almost thornless. Double Knockout - it's sold as red but for me it sometimes looked like a dark pink, i think it depends on the lighting. It did really well for me, especially for a 1st yr plant. In the past I would have recommended DA's The Squire, but this wasn't a good year for it, I think the hard winter we had last year almost did it in. I'm hoping it can make a comeback at least to the point aI can take a rooted cutting from it. dark Red to burguncy, very double, flat, heavy bloomer, all summer. Does get BS, less than AD....See MoreHelp Choosing Correct Heat Pump System for my house
Comments (98)Hi Tiger,Ryan and Gary Happy 4th guys. Hope you're out there partying!! The Infinity system is running just great. Its so quiet inside the house that I can barely tell its on. I am so so happy with it. Its a real sweet baby. The temperature in Sacramento has been very nice these past two weeks, just in the 80's. Its kind of weird because last month we hit the 100's. I am confident though that this baby can handle it when we go back up to the 90's and 100's. As for the ducts Ryan, the flexi is attached to metal, but I don't know if its the insulated kind. But it is very quiet. I don't hear noise from the vents. I did take a peak into my attic from the ladder and the flexi is nicely layed out, no spagetti up there. Also all direct from the airhandler and no Ys. Well i've been partying all week Gary. I love this baby. But the real big party will be in the winter when its real cold outside and my living room will actually feel warm. For me that will be the biggest test because I can't handle the cold and like it very warm in the house. My old heat pump always blew in cool air when its below 45 degrees outside. If any of you will be in the Sacramento area in the future, let me know and we'll have an Infinity party or we can party Infinityly!! You guys take care and thanks again for all your help. I'll be travelling quite a bit on the job from mid July until late September, so if you post something and I don't get back to you please know that I'm on the road. Comments (17)can you please help with this. we decided the best thing to do is hook into the main HVAC for the living areas, Remove the bedroom HVAC all together. then replace the main HVAC unit with a state of the art 3 stage system (he uses american standard) Here is my question. Today in Florida it is 49 degrees! freezing for here. humidity in the house is like 20% but for some reason in my bedroom its like 60% (no ac running cuz its cold) Same floor, same type doors and windows, adjacent to living space, My room always feels damp. smells like mildew. Two mold companies have come and tested with meters to look for moisture in the floor or behind the walls and found none. I am convinced there is some sort of dampness present in this room (no carpets or drapes ) only tile, wood furniture. not much clutter, closets have been emptied into another room in prep for remediation, new roof, ducts have been cleaned, attic crawl space has been checked. HVAC unit is not dripping or clogged(that i can see, was just serviced and uv light added) the HVAC plenum is dry (although there is mold on the drywall in there) waiting for remdeation. My question is where else can i look for a moisture source? does mildew (smelling like damp towels that have sat for a while) have to mean there is a sitting water source somewhere? any other ideas. isnt it logical that if its a freezing day here i shouldnt need AC to draw humidity out of my room today?!...See Morehi, please help me setup this idly shaped apartment.
Comments (4)decoenthusiaste is correct about seating placement. Consider having the desk behind the sofa and make the angled wall a bookcase or art display as it is the focal point when entering your apartment. The dining room table as drawn in your original plan is much too large for the space. Consider a 42 to 48 diameter table instead. Beautiful space. Enjoy!
