How to create a cohesive look - dining & living room?
Comments (49)The plates look super! (And don't worry about "us" being upset! You are following your heart, and only you know your daughter ... we certainly don't!) :-) I love that Kaufmann fabric that Rita shared. That's along the lines of what I was envisioning early on for this space. Fun, fresh, young, a bit bohemian - I think that would really rock!...See MoreGreat room seating area, help me create cohesion please!
Comments (39)Very nice. I love your gutsy color choices. The only thing I would change is the lamp on the sideboard to the right of the fireplace. I think it needs to be taller. It looks a little squat. I like to see a lamp that comes about 1/3 the way up the window....See MoreCreating Living Room

Comments (3)my first thought was the curtain rods are too short, but then I thought how lovely the window casings are, and how if you don't need curtains, maybe roman shades or even seagrass blinds could be nice, also the curtain feels heavy to me. For the wall color, I would pull from your artwork, look at the lighter gray, blue and off white shades, the artwork will pop off those colors and the room will feel larger and more relaxing. I see a sectional, and a more open feeling chair with some wood, a large area rug, and lots of texture in throws and accents....See MoreThao Doan
