Ideas for Christmas decor in kitchen window?
I’d like to do something “christmassy“ on/around my kitchen sink window but can’t figure out what to do. A regular greenery garland would be too bulky, I think. The sill isn’t deep enough for anything. I thought something like this could be cute but no idea where to find such a narrow “delicate” garland. I like the hearts.
Or something like this on each window? They would be impossible to make exactly the same, though, and the lack of symmetry might drive me crazy.
Maybe just a garland at the top of the windows?
Ideas, inspiration?

4 years agoPS I like what they did with this garland...it’s attached or just propped on the curtain rod. Not sure if that would work with my windows.

4 years agoYou could hang little 6" wreaths like these with ribbons from your locks on each window.

Comments (28)We often do outside early i.e. before Thanksgiving, mostly to beat the weather. I have hosted many a Thanksgiving where outside was Christmas and inside was full on fall/Thanksgiving. For a reason like a party I would not hesitate to begin early. I am a ASAP after Thanksgiving, Christmas is donned person! It's worth a month of prepping and celebrating!! "Jesus is the Reason for the Season", after all. It used to take me a full 15 hour day to get things all set and mostly cleaned up. When I had little ones underfoot I didn't want the mess or certain things left where they could be broken etc. Now I will take the weekend or longer. Back in the day, my time at my home was sooo short as I would return from my parents after Thanksgiving and it was only a few weeks until Christmas break from school. I wanted my tree up NOW --and I guess it stuck. Comments (1)I think you have too many small items on the shelves so there isn't any impact. I would buy some peel and stick wallpaper and paper the wall behind the shelves. 4 years agoI’m so lazy. Plus DH was getting his knickers in a twist about me “banging nails into brand new woodwork” so...I snuck a push pin into the middle and threw a plain grapevine wreath and a heart ornament on it. Hold your applause, please.

4 years agoThanks for the compliments! Unfortunately, our new house doesn't have similar windows so I now use these (fake) wreaths around the house. You can (barely) see two on the glass cabinets in the background.
