Philodendron melanochrysum leaves turning white ?

so I got this philodendron a couple weeks ago and it seems to be doing fine, although I have noticed these marks As if the green has faded. Any help would be appreciated I have had a search Online but since it’s a rarer plant theres little to nothing

Does your pot have a drainage hole and what temps has it been subjected to?

Yes the pot has a drainage hole, I live in Scotland so it’s pretty cold here and my house does get cold During the day when There’s no heating on, could it be temperature stress?

Hi, I have some rooted/rooting cutting from my split leaf huge plant. Not sure of it's real name, but it is a vine with 12-16" leaves that are split. I got a new kitten and puppy and they beat the crap out of my mother plant while I was at work. I kept her on the floor due to size, but now I have bare stems that are putting out new shoots. Stush, my goodness, I am in love with them. Stunning and I can imagine how they can lighten a darker corner of a house! I particularly love the sounds of white turning yellow to green one or mostly yellow. I have never seen them before. Is there anything I can do for you after all you do for me? If so, e-mail me. I would love to share something with you that you don't have, even if it has to wait until I makes cuttings in spring. The variegation on these plants are very sensitive to stress. Same with white monsteras. It could honestly be anything. It could be the shipment, it could be root damage from potting or shipment. It could be from the ac. It could be sunburn or lack of humidity . Highly variegated plants need more light because they suck energy out of the plant. I would put it in the window of your eastern window. Everything that you’re doing sounds correct, except maybe that’s a little too much water. How did the roots look? The vent could have damaged the leaves, so hopefully now that it’s moved it helps. You can cut those leaves back and let it start again. I’m sorry it’s all so ambiguous. I wish I could help more. I give mine south facing light, right in the window. I have mine in similar soil mix and let mine dry out much further and then water thoroughly.

leaves get torn and/or have problem unfurling is due to lack of humidity/moisture. Although when in ground in tropical climate with high enough humidity it can be kept drier. Keep in mind that large leaves cause a lot of evaporation too. when indoors in less then optimal conditions what I have resorted to on occasion is putting a plastic bag loosely on top of emerging leaf/shoot. when I see that leaf edges are sticking while the shoot is emerging I wrap a damp paper towel around it to kept it unglue. you need to be very careful, as the leaf is very soft and it takes about a week for it to firm up. alternatively you can mist it lightly ev day for a few days until it's ok.

I do see some insects on the underside of that leaf. Can you post a few more pictures of the underside of some other leaves that are looking bad?

There are a couple bugs, but not enough to do that kind of damage. It looks like cold damage to me. How cold does this room get? Does it get lower than 10°c (50°f) on a regular basis?

I ordered It online with next day delivery but it came without a heat pack, they didnt give me an option to get one so I assumed it came with one, and it was frosty. my room doesnt get below 10 degrees Celsius

I’ve checked they’re are definitely no bugs, I did take that damaged leaf off so now they’re is only one, I have read online that it could be powdery mildew but im not sure

Reminds me of spider mite damage. Philodendrons and elephant ears (Alocasia/Colocasia) seem very susceptible to spider mites in winter months.
