How to install double sliding barn doors

We love the openness, but wanted a way to close off our playroom, so we decided on barn doors. The opening is 77" wide with a long wall on the left, but only a few inches on the right. We bought two 42" wide doors and were initially planning on doing a bypass track system allowing us to have fully open, partially open or closed. Since each door is smaller than the opening, the problem we're now facing is how to install them so they don't swing out when pushed on. We don't want a guide in the middle where someone could trip or stub a toe, but are worried if the doors can swing out our kids might hit the wall when opening or closing or worse push them off the track. Does anyone know of a solution where we can still use the bypass system without having a guide all along the bottom or in the middle of the opening?
