When we build, there won't be any rooms above our Master Bedroom. At the moment, my almost 13-year-old son and 3-year-old's room is over our Master Bedroom. My 8- and 10-year old's room is above the living room. Their bathroom is between their two rooms. When sleeping in, I can hear every single movement that my 13-year-old and 3-year do. There was carpet in the room which helps with the noise, but I hate carpet and put in wood flooring. If he drops something, I hear it. When he goes to the bathroom, I hear it. When all 4 of them are in one room, I can hear them. Just as this, I can hear every movement in my other boys' room when in the living room. They are very rambunctious and like to jump around. Another problem I have is that the pipe from their toilet/tub goes down the wall which is located between our living and kitchen/dining room. When they flush the toilet or let out their bath water, the pipe rattles in that wall. I know every time they use the bathroom and so do my guests. Most times it is rather embarrassing.

One simple thing you might do is remove the lamps from the luminaries and then reset the breaker. Go through the same experiment turning on the switches without the light potential. I recently experienced a first for me, an incandescent lamp failure that tripped a breaker. In my case it reset fine with the failed lamp still in place. I think it unlikely that there is enough conductor in a lamp to fuse and carry enough current to fail a breaker, but it is a cheap check before calling in an electrician or tearing into it yourself. Are there both lights and plugs on the circuit?

Sorry to say that if I were having a boy and girl in the same room, I would have gotten two twin beds that would work for either sex. The white bed would be fine if it was the only bed in the room, but two beds need to match, and another white bed like you have doesn't cut it for a boy.

IMO kids at that age should not be on computers out of sight of parents and have you actually asked him what it is he wants since almost all kids I know have a laptop to take to school . I don't like TV even in adult bedrooms but that is just me. As for the layout of the space does he still like to play in his room with stuff? Id so then the bed against a wall will give him more space to play . I think the addition of bunk beds is a normal idea since kids often have friends sleep over . Our boys all had bunk beds for that exact reason.. I also think a full size bed takes up space so does he want one ? I think asking him what he wants in his room is always a good plan since it is his space .
