Comments (3)Hi Allison, I love gift baskets. On my webpage there are some I've made up for friends and family - I try to add a poem to make them more personal. Feel free to use any of the ideas you find there. For my son's birthday I'm making up a "Bottomless Pit basket" and filling it with his favorite junk foods, soft drinks and a toothbrush for after the pigout, and maybe a voucher for the video store. I also want to sew up on of his favorite shirts that he's outgrown (an idea I saw somewhere & can't remember where) & make it into a cushion for his bed - you turn shirt inside out and sew up bottom and arm holes, turn the right way in and stuff with toy filler using the neck opening. Then sew up neck and it's done. Sue :) Here is a link that might be useful: Sue's webpage...See MoreShare your ideas for giving money! Here's mine.. PIC
Comments (24)I have folded and poked dollar bills into a styrofoam cone to make a "christmas tree". But we don't have dollar bills any more...just one dollar Loonie coins. For those I have wrapped 50 individually in little boxes, which were packed into slightly larger boxes and into a giant box LOL. It ALL had to be unwrapped. Took a long time, and I laughed my arse off as the person grumbled (good naturedly though, we all thought it was fun). Another time I wrapped my favourite sweater(that happened to be completely despised by the recipient) with money in the pocket. When she unwrapped the sweater and stared at it, I told her she commented on my sweater so much that she must LOVE it, and decided to give it to her! Even made her put it on for a picture. Bwa-ha-ha-haaa! She was too dumbfounded to say she didn't like it. Then I told her to put her hand in the pocket. We all had a great laugh about that one too. Then I demanded my sweater back ;). Comments (60)KC, is that what happens when you go to India? Ha. Remind me to go soon. I love it. By the way, I hope the kids are all doing good for summer. Glad you are back safe to))) Post a couple of pics of India if you don't mind. I sure dont! What a bunch of great looking sweet tomatos! I'll bet that bowl smell great). Just how big is your yard to get all that? Wow Evan, will you get nice fruit off that tree? Will they be sweet? You lucky thing you!! Between the heat and the amount of different kinds of trees you can plant, I wouldn't mind living near you. In fact, you would be my best neighbor my friend. You always have the most beatiful trees. By the way, I would of thought that tree was dead when first planted, it must of been dormant because boy did it come back nice. Good to see you again too. Julian, it's great to see a new face around this forum. I wish you would be a part of the fragrant and orchid one too if you have any of those. I can imagine what you are growing in your yard. I love that area. I have not been there since before the hurricane and I assume it must be all rebuilt now and thriving. Fantastic pictures and thank you for sharing. Please stay around and share more often. In fact, I really like Floridians. I hope to visit soon again)) NIce pots too. You must love living there minus the humidity....See MoreCan you share your seedling images blooming in 2019 please
Comments (30)Celeste - I didn't remove the first bloom either - lol. It was one of the Westbourne Good Old Days, but darn! - didn't make note at the time which one it was. It had 3 blooms in all. And this season, when everything started blooming, most of the first blooms weren't all that nice. It seemed like the plant would have a "dress rehearsal" before deciding how it was going to look, and then one morning...BOOM! Heather - all the Westbourne tets were good size - 6+ inches. Height varied but averaged at least 30". That one with the wonderful eye was the tallest of them - sorry, don't have specs at moment, but over 30 inches. I thought you'd like that odd purple Wandering Werribee - lol. Alex...See MoreSueb20
