Update on my Thanksgiving Cacti
Comments (1)I'm sorry about your TC. They really are my favorite plants. I saw your post last night and I woke up this morning with an idea. Why don't you wait until early spring and get some cuttings from a TC with a color you really like. I'm sure one of us would have something you would like or you could purchase some from eBay or an online nursery. Then, with advice from people here who know, root the cuttings and grow a new TC from the ground up, so to speak. Read up on GW until then on what kind/size of pot, different soil options, where you are going to grow your plant indoors, etc. Put this plant out in the summer in an appropriate area and then with some luck, you'll have blooms next Thanksgiving. This way you can kind of get in tune with a plant that you've grown yourself from healthy cuttings starting out the right way rather than trying to save something that was going downhill when you got it. Of course, we'll all be here to give advice as you go along. Just a thought....See MoreUPDATE: Easter basket swap #2
Comments (111)sue, i'll be turbo grading on monday and tuesday, final papers as they write their final exams and then the exams as they come in, then the greenhouse on wed, then thursday my lit papers are due so a final batch of turbo grading, greenhouse friday sat and sunday, and grades are due monday so somewhere before then i have to add up all of those numbers. that will probably be my friday night, sitting on the couch, watching the thursday night tv shows online, and cursing at the calculator. i have done nothing in my garden un a long time, no transplanting of seedling yet. don't even have a plot dug up. rain rain rain. after next week, though, if no one else signs up for my 102 comp class (which would be BAD. if you know anyone desperate enough to pass comp 2 that they will come to waynesburg to do it, let me know LOL) i will only be working at the greenhouse until the last week of june, when i do my week long nature lit class. hopefully i can get everything planted out before the heat of july kicks in!!...See MoreUPDATE: obf picnic basket swap cont/ 2
