Another example of art at it's best, scratchboard painting. Modern day, of course. I love this that hangs on my living room wall. It is a print of the original by artist Sharon Wald.

4 years agoSimple things really do amuse me. Hubby and I would get a kick out of the loader picking up the leaves at the curb. LOL
With the snow it's a mess, and a little tractor with brushes on the front go along the street at the curb and pushes them into a pile. Then the loader comes, the bucket opens at the bottom (way cool!) and he picks them up and dumps them in the truck.
Other areas have a truck with a vacuum but we've always had the loader/truck team.

BOTH of these pieces are by the same artist. Each was a 1st piece....and they never painted or sculpted again!

4 years agoSpanish shawl on display in Acapulco. Not sure of it's age, but it dates back at least to the 1800's.
