Kitchen island pendant lights
Hi, we are building a house and have to make a decision on our kitchen lights. Don't have an exact photo of our kitchen layout but this is a (Photoshopped) kitchen from a slightly different model by our builder (minor differences in fridge placement, more corner counter, etc.). We will have Cashmere Carrara quartz countertops (shown) with a black island and white cabinets elsewhere.
Have been considering lights that won't be too much of the focal point of the kitchen. However, they're near black (b/c we had picked a black--technically oil rubbed bronze--dining room chandelier we liked--it's an open floorplan) and wonder if they are too stark. Have again attached some Photoshopped examples.
Would love to hear people's opinions as been really struggling with this one!

Comments (9)Very pretty! But, it may cast a 'spider web' light show on your white ceiling. As for height, the best advice I got on here a few years ago was when I was torn about what size, length pendants to go over my peninsula. The advice was: blow up balloons to the diameter you are considering for your pendants. Comments (15)If you are fixated on warmer light, you could also consider getting a "dim to warm" light fixture. They are relatively new to the market and there isn't much available just yet. But a quick search finds something like: It is 3000K at full brightness. That's an appropriate day-time color temperature for most residential settings. But if you dim it down to darker "mood light" brightness, the color temperature drops to 2000K.
