Is cold or warm water recommended after pretreating the grease stain? Had the same problem with two of my son's polo shirts. Of course, he had no idea he dripped something on it. I used Dawn and Tide first and washed in cold/cold and hung to dry 0 did not place in dryer. Stains were slightly visible, so I used my trusted concoction of Lestoil, Solumel, Dawn and Shout and used a sponge to gently work it into the fabric. Finally, after two washings, the stains were gone. I swear by Lestoil - an old product that has been around for quite a while, but hard to find in some areas. Sooo, is cold, warm or hot water reommended for removing grease (food) stains?

You have many more towels than I do so this may not be helpful. When I come home from the gym I put the towels in the dryer for a few minutes, then I put them in a place away from the other clothes to wait until I have a load of similar items. This minimizes stinky wet towels sitting around and helps keep the germs contained. While I use my bathroom towels more than once I don't like to use gym towels again - never know what is growing on them. If you do hang them up wet be sure there is adequate ventilation in the room. Not just to the rest of the house but to the outside. For drying clothes I use a drying rack I got at QVC. It is called the Hangaway drying rack and it can hold a lot of clothes and towels while still leaving room for them to dry out. It might work for you depending on how much room you have.

I have been having having this issue for months now and I cannot figure out WTF is going on. It's not every single time I was my clothes or even all of the clothes, but a lot of times after my clothes are washed and then dried, I will notice dark spots on color clothes. MOST of the time I can spray them with some shout and rewash them and it comes out. I do not use dryer sheets or fabric softener. I have bought a new washer and dryer, I have switched from a liquid detergent to a powder, I use extra rinse cycle, I make sure not to overload the washer, we have MOVED and still have the issue, I have cleaned the drum of the washer and dryer countless times. It makes ZERO sense and I do not know what else I could possibly do. TIA!

Dadoes, Romania is in Europe, so will be 220 to 240v. Very few countries outside North America use 120v (Saudi Arabia and Taiwan are the only two I have come across*). I have never seen a washing machine connected to a hot water supply in Europe (West or East). I am not sure if you can still get new machines with hot and cold fill, but any A-rated machine would have to be cold fill only (and needs to be correctly plumbed to the cold water supply), as it is more energy efficient for the machine to heat the water it needs. Modern wash cycles use very little water, so water taken from the hot pipe is unlikely to be very hot anyway. The enzymes in biological detergent are killed off and therefore become ineffective at high temperatures, so the water only needs to be heated to 40c/104f, which the machine can easily heat to. HU-318847582, do you know if the machine is connected to the hot water supply? Also, do you have your own hot water boiler or are you connected to your city hot water and heating system? *I am told that Japan and a few south American countries also use 110v, but I can't vouch for that.
