Three paver mfgs for patio resurface--any feedback?
Comments (6)That is good to know about your pavers-- lot of our lanai stays in shade from about 11 am on but still prefer the white base... Regarding the pool safety fence--just had conversation with guy who installed fence for friend of our daughter Their fence goes all around their smaller pool cause they have lot of patio space on around the pool--too hard to close part of that off... Our pool is larger than theirs and more rectangular--we can do two sides easier but might cost more cause more panels and the gate was expensive--like $400-- but for our situation I think we will need one-- I am not sure I can physically pull those two sections together to try to get fence back up---there is lot of tension in that kind of fence... But he also said that putting it in after pavers were down was not problem and that the pavers the posts were in wouldn't need to be cemented He could just use a longer aluminum sleeve and drill a little deeper than usual... He also said that black mesh/poles were the way to go that the eye will travel through black mesh much easier to see what is on the other side than white mesh...which kind of surprised me... but it is really pretty easy to see out through a pool cage's screening which is black......See MorePatio seating placement -- need feedback
Comments (21)Your gardens and patio are beautiful. They look like a perfect retreat to relax. A few options for the furniture if you are still playing. First thoughts for the patio furniture on the higher patio. Embrace the sofa in front of window. It keeps your pathway from door clear. Place the coffee table so that one can reach to place a drink. Place the two chairs on each end facing each other on the short ends of coffee table. There are two thoughts for placement of the table and chairs on the lower patio. Pull the table out from the herb garden wall and turn the table so the short end follows the line. I can't tell from pics but that wall might make a nice seating area too if needed for the table. What is the cream/grey item behind dining chair on right side? Does it stay there? The other option is to put the table in the center area of patio. You mentioned not wanting to block the view but since the window is higher it might just work. Place it long ways to help the eye follow right out into the yard. For the space out in the yard (3 chairs shown there now) some outdoor curtains or shade cloth would make it even more private. The love seat could go there with 2 chairs again placed on each end. Good luck with your space and arrangements....See MorePatio Visualizer | feedback wanted
Comments (4)I would love to find a landscaper that uses a tool like this. For two years I have been trying to find a landscaping company that can design a patio and garden space for me. Those that actually show up and then give me a drawing have so little on their drawings that I don't know what I would end up with if I told them to execute their plan. Every drawing (2) I have gotten is not to scale, and none are larger than a half sheet of 8x11 paper. I even got a sketch on the back of an envelope from one contractor - Your tool looks like a winner....See MoreFeedback on design plans for Int. Design Course!
Comments (5)IMO for a retail space there is too much stuff and not enough moving around space I can’t imagine a mall where this type space would be accessible to the public and for sure wheel chair accessibilty is a must in a retail space . Th have a kitchen for the staff open to the publc would never work and the serpentine walk space is just not good. IMO this is purley an office space and not for retail at all. What are they selling in the space ? If just a design firm it would be best not in a mall...See Moregardengal48 (PNW Z8/9)
