Painted windows white

I just painted two oak windows white to freshen up my place. I had white trim already but the windows themselves were/are oak - now it all matches. I primed before painting and now my question is, do I need any type of sealant or anything as an additional layer? The trim feels somewhat "slick" to the touch (for lack of a better description), whereas the part I just painted feels like, well, dry matte paint. I'm wondering if the trim is a different kind of paint or if there's a sealant of some sort on it. All of it looks exactly the same.
