Superb!! I wish my natural state would look that good. I remember when you said you were going to go natural. I was thinking about it at that time too but quickly abandoned the idea after getting a better look at my natural color.

You are all so kind! Thank you. I do feel like I've been on a "hair journey" and appreciate the hand-holding I've gotten here along the way. When my hair was longer and bleached, I sometimes wondered when or how I would ever go about embracing my natural color, as I knew I wouldn't continue to wear the bottle blonde for the rest of my life. It felt like a big commitment to stop coloring and it was a bit traumatic going back to short hair after years of wearing it long. The transition was a process, and I felt almost like rejoicing when my stylist cut off the last of the yellow ends today. It's maybe not coming through in the photo, but the light tones are definitely gray leaning towards white. I actually find myself a bit eager to see it go more white, and assume it will as my mom's has.

I feel like I've come more into my own true self with the slight change of appearance. Maybe it sounds silly, but it's almost like these white-ish streaks have strengthened my confidence. As I get closer to 60, that's a positive aspect I am more than happy about.

Well, I did tell my stylist I wanted a slightly edgier cut. I have to dress so conservatively for work that I kinda look for ways to let my freak flag fly. This wakeup hair should do it. ;)

It looks so pretty that color. I am also happy with mine and maybe one da6 I will be brave enough to post a similar photo. Mine is totally different...darker brown with silver gray, and still mostly darker brown in back.

Isn’t it freeing? And my hair feels so healthy. I’ve gone totally natural in terms of most products too. No sulfates, parabens or sodium chloride in shampoo or conditioners. I still use something after shampoo to amp up the volume and fullness in my thin, fine hair.

Lucky you! You look fab. I want to get off the hair color wagon, but don’t know how. My natural hair color is dar brown, almost black and almost half gray. So, there is no graceful transition or exit.

Your natural looks great & I am sure you will find you feel free.

I’ve let my grey go without coloring for at least 3 years...I go back and forth about starting to cover it up again but I know it will be worse growing it out again later down the road...then I think of the roots showing up like 3 days after coloring and that keeps me away from the bottle

Your gray is striking, always. From what I can see, it looks amazing with your skin tone.

Gorgeous hair is gorgeous hair, in any colour. I colour my hair because my gray is a bit too wayward for my liking. If it were showing up and minding itself like proper highlights, I might be happy to let it be. :P Will that ever happen?

Always, with three years' gray growth, have you considered starting to cut off the tinted part of your hair? IMO, you have the best kind of graying hair, a very dark natural color with silvery gray.

I agree - the very dark with silvery gray is beautiful. If mine was that color I'd be more inclined to stop coloring it.

The ends are natural. I only colored around my hairline blending it back some but not all over...and I used semi-permanent color so I wouldn't get a harsh line as it grows out.

Would love to join your club, but if I have the same gray as my mom, I will hold on to the bottle. Not a pretty gray. Although I have thought of changing my color to closer to the gray so my gray stripe is not blazing in under 2 weeks.
