We've had ours for 7 years now (pic way up above) and I do love it. HOWEVER... one side of our oven broke in September (the convection element needs to be replaced), and the part to replace it still has not come in - 4 months later we are still waiting. The warranty is 5 years, so we are out of luck with La Cornue working with us and have to rely on our local retail establishment for service work. The oven sizes are fine, unless you plan on doing a giant turkey. We've done an 18 lb turkey no problem, and I love doing roasters in it. Cleaning - the ovens have sides - top and bottom as well - that remove for cleaning so it's not a complete nightmare. But if you are used to self-cleaning ovens you may not like it. All that being said, we are overall happy with it. But if we ever need another oven, I doubt I would go with the same brand only because service has been very difficult. Good luck!

I'm sorry I can't be of much help. I think you might want to see what your range is called in the UK. Is it an AGA or a Falcon (I think those brands are related and swap badges depending on the market. And then check and see what the folks at Mumsnet have to say about it. Just Google Mumsnet and whatever you find the range is called there- or one close to it. I think 48" may be an American size- not sure though. Have you considered LaCanche? If Falcons were available here, I would get one of those in a heartbeat.

waverly6, I have the standard configuration that comes with the Cluny 1400. You may have to scroll through pictures to get to the top of the range. I have the detachable plaque on it- love that thing. I did not buy this range. The previous owners did the big renovation and made the Lacanche and the glass bump out for it a centerpiece. Left to my own devices I would have gotten induction (that is what I have in another house and I love it- though it is not nearly as beautiful to look at.) Were I to choose a Lacanche I would have made different decisions and having this particular model makes me realize my choices, which would have been more expensive, would not have been necessary at all. First I would never have left a blank area- I would have added two more hobs- in reality, I never wish I had those two extra hobs- and I entertain a lot and have four children- plus when I cook, I like to cook in large quantities. Plus my husband would have pushed for a Sully over Cluny and it turns out the Cluny ovens are indeed big enough and I love the warming cupboard. In fact, I may have gotten the Chagny for the small broiler. I hope this helps.

@waverly6 Thank you for staying with me 😀 the black dishwasher was starting to jive with me but DH doesn’t like it…although he also downs like the black island. And thanks for the reminder/callout on the challenges with stainless steel. For the range hood, exactly what you describe sounds amazing. Sadly, everything is out of stock and on back order…and being also budget-minded, I may have to end up with a Zline all black. Still looking though. For the thick black lines…no, sadly that’s just the markings to notate the corner cabinets. So it’s essentially the part that will be covered by the adjoining 90 degree wall cabinets. But above the DW will be 3 same length floating shelves. Just need to figure out stain color based on my horrendous other dilemma of wood flooring color in the house. LOL and WOW! that kitchen is GORGEOUS! wish i could do that with my windows and some of the cabinets…
