Are you committed to keeping that tv stand? Because a) it looks a little top-heavy with the size of the tv you have and b) a different stand could take up more room and leave the wall looking a little less bare. I like a tv console that is twice the width of the tv set it supports. If that were my room, I'd move the cat stand to in front of the window and put a large tree between the window and the tv. Then I'd get a floor lamp with more presence to replace the one that's there, and add crown molding to the entire room and call it done. Or put a low bookcase or chest or cabinet where the floor lamp is now, and put a lamp on top of that. The key thing is not to clutter up the tv wall so much that you get distracted when watching tv.

That’s a big wall and especially due to the jut out, I would probably do a huge u it on that wall. IKEA is a great source.

I would get a painted one in an accent color to add interest to your room. Maybe pick up the blue from the window surrounds. If you know that blue color you might pick up a second hand piece that you can paint (and distress, if you like) to suit your taste. Sideboards and buffets can work too. Just have the TV's width measurement to make sure it is wide enough. When you finish with that, lower your art to be centered 5' above the floor or 5" above furniture.

Don’t get a t v stand…buy a wall unit. $374.00 at Home Depot…notice the gray rug. Use the light wood for your furniture. Don’t use the pillows which came with the sofa…too dour. Safe the filler and scout etsy.com for lighter tones.
