Finished a HST baby quilt!

Put the binding on this quilt last night - HST (half square triangles) 1930s fabrics arranged by color and fabric, pieced border with little blocks of additional 1930s fabrics; yellow read-as-solid on back and for binding; quilted very simply; 35-inches square. Begun at the April retreat in TN.

Comments (13)Problems: While quilting, I managed to cut through the top while clipping a thread and had to patch with a matching piece of fabric and wonder under; one corner on the binding was very wonky. I guess I didn't square the corner right and had to undo several inches of binding, trim and redo the corner, and ease in the excess length so it's not as smooth as it should be. I've been quilting a long time and these problems could have been avoided with a little more care. Yes, I did make all of these baby quilts. Comments (11)That’s a beautiful quilt, Latifolia! And the back is so sweet. I can’t tell if the lightest color on the front is a pale blue or grey, but it works really well with the darker blues.
