Comments (3)A few suggestions (plants not specific as don't know where you are) ... Think I would paint door, door frame & posts just white. Shutters, one of the greyed teals. Explore color on one of the paint mfg. websites where you can upload photo (a better one w/ less shadows) and see changes ... like @ Valspar.com....See MoreHow much sq ft space do I need to grow these veggies?
Comments (4)Howdy, eks! Have you looked in the forum FAQ yet? It is very handy, but not that easy to spot. At the index page for this forum, look up at the top paragraph or so. (Or use the linky I put in this reply.) Near the bottom of the FAQ is a subject on What Spacings to use. Comments (3)I don't know where you have been reading but anyone who has ever grown corn knows well that cross pollination is a real issue with corn and many home gardeners successfully grow different varieties using time-delayed planting. But as to your specific situation, anything wind block that you can put between the two varieties will help. So yes, the house will help some assuming the predominant wind direction at the time of pollination is blocked by the house. If the house sits sideways into the wind then or caty-corner then it will block less. As to 2 stories up adding any protection, I can only say "its possible" but pollen is very light and drifts on the wind and rises and falls with it so no guarantees. If you want to insure no crossing at all (assuming no corn growing neighbors) then you can always hand bag the tassels and hand pollinate the silks. But that process is very time consuming and assumes only a small crop of each variety. Dave...See Moreneed whole home remodel… how do I get 3 quotes if I don’t know exactly
Comments (3)If you want to go someplace unfamiliar, you'll need a road map to get there efficiently. Otherwise, you'll just be driving around wasting time and fuel. If you want to remodel your home, a set of plans and specifications serves as the road map for getting to the desired end state. It should show the existing floor plans and elevations, a demolition plan, construction plans and elevations for any portions remodeled or added, sections, details, and specifications. Trying to "bid" the project without plans and specifications is a short cut that's sure to create headaches, heartaches, take more time and cost a lot more than whatever "bid" you accept....See MoreJAN MOYER
