What's your favorite recipe for Iced Coffee?
Comments (29)We normally drink a local brand, Peet's, selecting the Italian Roast (a lot stronger and more bitter than French Roast) and have it preground in a #2 grind, which is one small step above powder (Turkish). A standard drip grind is #6 and espresso is #4, for comparison. We do a Melitta drip with Melitta woven filters, which make a much better brew than standard paper filters. For iced coffee, we do a double-strength brew: make our usual coffee, then immediately use it to pour through a fresh batch of grounds. DH grew up in Hong Kong so he prefers the taste of sweetened condensed milk in iced tea and coffee drinks. If we make a large batch, we chill it in the frig for a few hours so that no ice cubes dilute it. But if we're desperate, a few ice cubes in a glass chill it quickly, and this brew is so strong, a 1/4 cup of water is barely noticeable in a tall glass. Chocolate syrup is a nice addition, except you have to add extra for it to make any impact on what is basically a triple-strength espresso drink. Unbelievably, my DH can drink this right before going to bed and drop off to sleep like a baby....yeah, I'm jealous of that!...See MoreDo You Have A Favorite Brand or Flavor of Ice Cream?
Comments (33)I have never heard of Blue Bell until now, but its not available in California, darn :-( Sure sounds good ! My hubby loves Ice Cream, but I never buy it for myself, I do enjoy a cone from McDonalds once in awhile though and if we had a speciality Ice Cream Place I would probably like it, like 31 flavors. A few months ago they started putting in a Cold Stone shop, got it half built and we got excited about it, and then they just stopped , left and put in a small subway :-(...See MoreWhat is your favorite flavor of ice cream?
Comments (15)I like the grocery store brand of Triple Vanilla. I can eat it plain or doctor it up with different toppings or fruit preserves. At my local ice cream shop my favorite is Black Raspberry Marble. My favorite out of town ice cream is Marianne's Spumoni. It's a white spumoni, not that multi-colored bright green, pink and brown neopolitan style stuff. I like lemon chiffon ice cream when I can find it. Also peach but it has to be made from peaches. Most peach ice cream has nectarine puree in it....See MoreWay off topic but what's your favorite eye cream?
Comments (69)Pat. I mostly use Kirks on the boys hair also. One thing I truely HATE is when kids have a stinky head...iI've found that even shampooing 3 times with shampoo kids can still have a stink head. My boys have oily heads so that could be why. Anyway Kirks on their heads and their heads smell so very clean and fresh. I do use a chamomile tea rinse.. I used to use lemon juice, they are both blondies, but I tried the Chamomile and wow it left their hair silky with a natural shine. so every night I brew 2 cups of Chamomile LOL glad I found a cheap brand that's 97cents for 25. I think though I'll try one tea bag and just let it steep an hour or so than dilute it some and split it in half for each boy. For those of you that don't know Kirks is a lovely coconut castile bar soap that can be used as a shampoo you just have to use a acidic rinse afterwards to restore PH. Kirks has a shampoo but I've never seen it at a store, ive been really really wanting to try it. So if any of you have please report to me if you like it. Thank You....See Morelily316
