Quirky LR/DR: Pick fabric and trim color for ottomans
Comments (5)Welcome back deltabreeze, I remember your room. It is really coming together. I love your red lamps. I think the carpet tiles would look great in your room. I like a chair on either side of your fireplace. I agree with les about the round ottoman being used by the fireplace and the colors in the fabric she picked out are perfect - yellow and red. Not sure I would put an ottoman in front of the sofa, it will crowd the room. If you feel you must have something, I think it should be something the gives the room an open feeling - small oval table with thin legs? I just got an oval table for my family room and I was so surprised at how much smaller it appears in the room and how much larger the room feels. It is also easier to get up from the sofa without something square being there. Previously we had a wicker trunk for a coffee table and it seemed very bulky there. Photo below so you can see what I mean (I'll be posting this room for a critique soon). I am still hoping for a little pop of red color on your dining room table. Please keep us posted. I love your decor....See MoreNeed to recover the ottoman. Any of these?
Comments (29)Penny - When you said blue were you talking the same color as the pillows I have? Fabric type? And I like that room you posted very much. Blubird - Do you mean something skirted? Oly - Thank you! Years actually. :) . At one point in there I did have it broke up like this but I made minor angle adjustments this time and a few other smaller things are now different. There are cons both ways but I like the views better this way from kitchen and to kitchen. Plus there are more seats that can view the tv. With the e.stand together and couch in front of window, the furniture should be a sectional or the loveseat should be a chair. The whole back end of the room looked so disjointed and drove me bonkers. And with the old set up if I would have added a rug it would have been out into the natural walk path....See Moreneed help deciding if these fabrics coornidate
Comments (33)Wow thank you! That looks real good and I especially like all the additions (I hadn’t thought of a lamp in the room but definitely like the idea!)-helps with how to finish off the room cause I think the furniture is pretty much done but some finishing accessories is for sure needed to get the finished look!...See Moreblue and orange?
Comments (39)I quit reading about halfway through. Don't know why everyone is trying to steer you to different rugs. I think that rug you chose will look great with the sectional. You can use a good amount of blue and a smattering of orange for accents and it will look smashing....See Moretartanmeup
