If you recess the vanity into the closet it might make sense to make the entry to the closet next to the vanity (swinging into the closet) and close up the door to the bedroom. You'd gain wall space in the bedroom, and wouldn't have two doors in a row, and it may make closet layout easier. If one person gets up earlier than the other they can get completely showered and dressed without reentering the bedroom.

Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate the advice on using closet doors to keep out moisture. Probably would use pocket doors for 1 and 2, Bi-fold or sliding for 4, and Standard doors for 3 and 5. I like to use a pocket door where I can but realize there are drawbacks... e.g., you can't put electrical, plumbing or hang pictures on the wall hiding the door. This will be a major remodel. #4 is close to the current layout but the shower and toilet are together in a very small compartment and the sinks back up against the bedroom wall. We currently have two narrow doorways (no doors) for entry from the bedroom. If anyone is still reading... for option #2, would it seem odd to walk through the bathroom to get to closet? I could split the sinks apart and put the doorway in the middle, creating a hallway of sorts to closet. Alternatively, I could do the exact same bathroom along the back wall and put the closet in the front, but would lose the long, uninterrupted wall for closet rod. I favor #2 and #3 and I think the plumbing cost for number #2 would be less because everything is in one straight shot across an interior wall.

I would square off the bathroom, no angles, by extending the right hand wall of the bathroom straight down. In that newly created space you could move the shower, add a linen closet, a bidet, or or something else that suits your needs. The catch is that means the walk in closet would need to be accessed from the bedroom not the bathroom. So that depends on your personal preference Also, *because you have the space* I would increase the toilet room by 6", and run the vanities to the edge of the tub

I still like no. 1 better but before you go ahead with this dimension of shower, for precautions, I would shop for vanities just to make sure you can find one that size. Also, for me, an 18x32 vanity would be too small. It may not for you but I suggest that you compare what you have right now and see if you would be satisfied with a vanity that size. The drawers might be very narrow. All of that may work for you but it does not hurt to check before you commit. If you find the vanity too small or you can't find any of that size, you might have to change the angle of the shower. You can also have a custom made vanity, but also check if you can find a sink the right size for that vanity. Also, if you find you have not enough storage you may want the cabinet I suggested in the bottom left corner. In that case, I would put a sliding door in the middle of the bathroom (not to the left. Your plan as you have it now might well work but there are precautions worth to checking before committing.
