Hi we are planning a new houseI would like ur suggestions on this master bedroom designCan I reduce the width of the closet to 4’6” and borrow 6 inches to the bathroom width
First thought: I question the allocation of space. You have only one small closet for the master bedroom ... each spouse will have only 30" of closet space (your closet needs to be 24" deep, and a few extra inches will be nicer), and all the organizers in the world can't make that comfortable ... and you have minimal space in the bedroom for a dresser. The bathroom is also going to be very tight. Yet you have a large, show-stopper, space-hogging staircase right next to it.
What I'm hearing you propose:
I'd rather lose some space in the master ... or the staircase ... or whatever else is possible. You'll use this bathroom every single day. Think carefully about your space needs.
As Mrs Pete says, just use a reach in closet, 24-27” deep and give the extra depth to the bathroom. You are gaining nothing with the walk in closet.
The closet will be 7’ wide, not 5’. Doable. Some of us don’t have tons of clothes.

Can you move the door to the left wall and completely eliminate that waste of 3ft6in x 7 ft hallway? That would improve both the closet and the bathroom
Duh. It's 7'. I think I was somehow thinking of the width of the bathroom, but I was clearly wrong with 5'.
Still, that's only 3 1/2' of storage per person. I don't have a ton of clothes either, but that's not much space.
