african gray looks too green. the other gray may work.

you'll have to grab some samples to try them out since lighting will affect how the tone appears.

as for the shutters, are they the right size? if you close them, will they meet in the middle?

From a distance, your brick appears more of a beige/taupe than a gray. You have to see the overall effect rather than trying to pick one color out of many. Same with your roof, which appears dark gray. I would paint the stucco a light taupe/beige that coordinates with the overall brick color. Your current stucco color has too much gold in it. Then use that same color to paint your garage doors so they blend in with the brick.

Beth and calidesign - thank you for the responses. The shudders are smaller than the glass of the window so technically they would need to be several inches wider to close. If I keep shudders, then perhaps I should look at appropriately sized ones. When I look at the brick close up, it is half gray but when I look from a distance, the beigy color seems to be dominant. Maybe I am just trying to force gray on a house that wants to be more of a taupe color. I agree the stucco is too gold. The Sherwin Williams swatch has some taupe colors that I can start with and then go lighter hues.

I would leave the shutters as they are until they need to be replaced. Changing them out for ones a few inches wider isn't really going to change the look. Focus on the paint. You can paint the sample color on a large poster board, and prop it up next to the brick to stand back and look at it from a distance. On stucco, any color will look slightly darker than on the poster board as the texture adds shadows.
