Living room 16 foot tall wall mirror or art?
Comments (8)I'd say art! You want to put it lower than your tapestry (which is great too!), seems a bit too high. Something brighter that won't fade into the background. You can always change pillows to go with the art, or blend the colors you already have. Just an example... Art is so personal!...See Morevery small, odd shaped living room with no room for a couch, help!
Comments (10)Hey Mikeala, while you may have to make some compromises due to space restrictions, you can definitely fit a compact couch in the room. As @mindshift recommends, it would a good idea to keep all your furniture compact and as small as possible. I've made a couple of options for you here. (All dimensions are approximated from the images you have posted) For the first layout, I've eliminated the coffee table and added a slim console by the entrance, a wall mounted TV and an end table. You could also buy nested tables so you could stack them when they aren't being used. For the area by the staircase, I've added a tall bookcase and a couple of chairs for extra seating. adding a mirror would give a sense of a larger space, I've styled this room with modern furniture with a touch of hollywood glam. For the second option, the entrance is more open although the TV unit has been placed on the large wall. This allows TV viewing from both seating areas and yet separates the space. You may prefer this layout if you don't like the idea of having a living right at the entrance. I've styled this room with Scandinavian furniture. Do send us measurements and photos so we could further customize these for you. You could also add/ swap furniture and make your own layouts here....See More18ft tall living room wall - Desperate Need of help with decor
Comments (10)How are the acoustics? It looks like a reverberating HELL to me. You need a rug and a lot of soft surfaces to absorb the noise, more substantial drapery for a start. The art in a picture posted above on canvas with a soft look, mostly canvas no glass, would help-a few of them!! The tall wall will disappear if you give eyes something lower to look at....See MoreIdeas for this very small living room?
Comments (17)This is a basement hangout spot? Well, hell, that's a horse of a different color. Who cares about the split AC or seeing the door. You need to focus on cozy fun hang out space. You've got that with the seating and TV. Just add a fun high pile rug that feels good under foot and art above the sofa to the right of the door. A super casual round coffee table for drinks and snacks is smart too. Don't over think this space....See MoreJ Williams
