Insulate around baseboard hotwater pipes?

James Ladenson

I'm looking to properly and safely insulate around baseboard heaters. I'd rather not use spray foam with concerns of off-gassing when the pipes heat up.

I have a wall that 2 pipes run through, what should I use for that? I don't want the fiberglass to melt if it's in contact with it.

I also have some gaps coming up through the floor, I want to stop drafts, what's the best way to fill those in?
