A quick search on Houzz yielded mostly white or green-ish cabinets.

I have done several searches and often when you click further on the link, it turns out the counters are Macaubus, White Pearl or Taj Mahal or another quartzite. And then you click on the link for the cabinets and often it won't be listed or houzz comes up with what color they think it is. So that's what's left me stumped. Also, most of the pics seem to be different angles of about 5 different kitchens. I find that colors look so different on the monitors and to guess what a color is, doesn't work for me. I like the idea of white cabinet, but there are so many different choices of white. I need to stick to SW.

I love the Sea Pearl and am now committed and can't change it. But in hindsight I should have selected something different as I am so challenged with finding a white that will look nice and complement the Sea Pearl with it's gray, darker gray and some brown veining and look good in my north facing room. I do realize lighting plays a big part too.

Maybe I should switch to a gray? But that seems so trendy and maybe on the outs, so I'd rather stick with white as it's more classic.

I am hopeful other people can share their experience with Sea Pearl.

As I mentioned on your last thread, I also have a northern exposure and I have BM White Dove. My countertops were called Opus White but according to Google that’s the same thing as Sea Pearl. I think the slight grey and warmth of the White Dove works well with the different tones in the quartzite. Unfortunately the SW match wouldn’t look the same even if you wanted it. Have you looked at SW Alabaster? It’s somewhat similar to White Dove but less creamy so may be just what you’re looking for. Don’t stress, it’s going to be great! And you are going to love the Sea Pearl - it looks amazing installed and is bulletproof.

Thanks Ephma, yes I recall you saying yours were BM White Dove. I have looked at Alabaster and it's just too yellow. Pure White is too bright, but it does look good. Just brighter than I think I want. And your Pewter Green is super on your island. Your kitchen looks great!

Darn, it usually seems like people go with Alabaster or Pure White for SW white cabinets so you’d hope one of those would work! I also had trouble finding example kitchens for my quartzite so just gritted my teeth and kind of copped out with my house trim color and thankfully liked it. I’m sure whatever you choose will look great, and remember the countertops look a little different once they’re laying on the horizontal. Hopefully a pro has some advice for you. Good luck!

Whichever you pick, make sure you do all the proper prep for cabinets, and its a lot and its time consuming. Also pick paint that is made for cabinets, not regular interior type paint.

I love the look of SW greek villa and SW creamy. I think that could be perfect for cabinets/doors and trim, however I don't think creamy works - too cream. SW Greek Villa could be ok. But seems too yellow. I really wish I could just pop into someone's kitchen with Sea Pearl and see how the gray/white of Sea Pearl works in their kitchen.

How about Snowbound? That was one I had forgotten. If I remember correctly, I think it’s less yellow than Alabaster but less bright than Pure White.

I'll revisit that one, Ephma. Thank you. My head is spinning with "white" color choices. I am really beginning to wonder if I should pick a color. Then I can have my Pure white for trim/doors. do I pick gray? green? blue? Heck, so many choices. I just had always envisioned a light, airy beachy kitchen. Maybe my counter top choice is telling me to let go of the idea of white.

@Ephma You said that the sea pearl will look different horizontally. That makes total sense, it's got a lot going on with almost a iridescence that makes it the star of the room. In your experience how did the slab change from vertical to horizontal. Did the slab look darker, more gray, less gray, lighter or something else? Thanks!

Hmm, it’s kind of hard to say how the slab looked different - I think it’s just that the impact is different when you’re viewing the whole slab on the vertical vs when it’s installed on your countertop. I snapped a photo in my kitchen today (sorry lighting is not great because it’s a very cloudy day) but just to try to illustrate the difference between viewing the whole slab with my little cabinet samples held up to it as opposed to how it looks installed in the kitchen.

@Ephma the slab appears softer - maybe a bit warmer? AT least to my eye, but then again it's a computer pic and it's also on top of the BM White Dover cabinets. Sure looks pretty! Thank you for sharing.

It probably looks warmer in the kitchen pic because I’ve got my kitchen lights on vs the overhead fluorescent lights in the warehouse.

I didn't think of that. The lightening at our stone yard is white and bright.

Going with White cabines with the new Sea Pearl.

I chose SW Pure White for my perimeter cabinets and SW Naval for my island. :). Will post pictures when installed. Should be soon. My floors are being installed next week!

Wow, Cabinet painter coming out this friday. We are going white on all cabinets except the island which will be navy blue. Hopefully to match the backsplash. Will post before and after photo's when complete. Currently they are a dark brown. Went with some large navy blue arabesque tiles with white grout on backsplash.

Our counters going in today! It’s finally getting real.

Now I just need to pick a backsplash
