Help with orange kitchen cabinets?

Hi all, I'm hoping for some advice on the age-old "orange cabinets" dilemma. My cabinets are in great shape but in a very traditional style and a fairly unusual orange-ish stain. Since I don't want to replace or paint them, I was wondering if you had any other ideas for toning down the color? I was considering testing out some Briwax to see if that might make a difference? Has anyone tried that with this kind of finish?

The rest of my condo is more mid-century leaning, so I'm hoping to make small updates that help the kitchen blend in. I am definitely hoping to replace the yellow tile with something more modern. Do you think new cabinet hardware might also help?

Attaching photos of the cabinets close-up so you can see the finish, and a photo of the full kitchen from when I purchased the condo (the flooring has since been changed out to a hickory hardwood throughout. Thanks so much for your thoughts!
