The difference 8 weeks makes
Two months ago I purchased a clump of unidentified Echeveria from my local grocery store. Brought the clump home, changed the mix, and acclimated to strong sun.
Below are the same Echeveria as above. These two are the leftovers and have been sitting inside a grocery store for two months. The crazy part is they’re still $12.99!

The gallery forums also allow you to upload a picture into the forum itself, in the Preview step. The funny thing is, I don't even like tomatoes unless they are part of a spaghetti sauce or salsa. I'm growing them for DH, who acted like I gave him a million dollars when I handed him a tomato that ripened on the vine last summer. I also enjoy the stories behind some of the heirloom tomatoes like mortgage lifter. I've also had many generous offers from people I didn't know I knew to help eat any extra tomatoes, so if I do get a bumper crop this year from the 16 that I planted, none will go to waste....See MoreWhat a difference a few weeks makes!

Sorry, flashback. Thank you, I have 2 Orange Marmalades, One by the road (the one shown) that gets salt spray and abuse during the winter and another....... That sits on a mostly shaded, all alone on a south facing slope out back by the shed, that also thrives (the hosta , not the shed). Sandy, that S&S amazes me. I used to think my Elegans were big until I bought an SS. I have three now that are in areas of different exposures and different soil types. The plants in both pics are the same plants. I promise;), they just look crazy different because of growing conditions. The store got maybe seven pots of these Echeveria and the two in the pics are the ones nobody wanted. I’ve been watching them for the past two months get worse and worse. Who’s going to buy them now especially for $12.99. I’m really suprised the two left at the store are not overwatered along with being stretched out.
I would really like to get an id. They’re one of the most prolific Echeveria I’ve ever seen! Tons of babies at the base.
