I'd pick a cool slate blue or a warm sage for the wood siding, depending on whether your brick is warmish or coolish. It's tough to recommend any ideas about landscaping, because your pic doesn't suggest much use. Do you need a sitting area? Is the house behind the trees yours (needing linkage) or your neighbors (needing hiding)? etc.

If you go with black/charcoal FP, then I would use light paint.

The lighter in color you can go - the better. Dark colors make the house hotter - light colors make it cooler This not necessarily true. Elaine has never heard of Cool roof gel underlayment. I'm in SoCal and we get hotter than FL. (you do win on the humidity though!) I got a dark charcoal cement roof tile. the roofers put down a cool roof gel underlayment that insulates the tile from the attic. The tiles themselves also have a CCR rating. My house is no hotter (in fact I think it's a bit cooler) than with the original cement roof tiles from 1980) If you look at Boral or Eagle roofing (as an example) you will have to put in your state to see what's avail. not all styles and colors are avail throughout the country. each region has it's own 'range of tiles" In any case, I'm sure florida roofing companies have tons of info on CCR tiles and gel underlayments so you can have a dark color roof. I mean, there isn't going to be a big diff from what you have now, to a charcoal color. I'd go w/a medium to dark charcoal. many asphalt tiles are varigated. if you choose those, it will compete w/the brick pattern. (if you paint the brick it's fine, otherwise pick a solid tile) lime washing or painting (Romabio products only) are not dated and are being done all over. this before and after was in florida. they painted the brick and the siding and got a dark roof if you search brick ranch makeover (Brick and Batten has a ton of before and afters) you'll a lot of examples. Right now all of the bronze tones really work w/the brick. If you try to put on a lighter door, it's going to look weird w/the dark trim/shutters/windows. if you want to go light all over, you can certainly do something like this the lime wash or masonry lime paint in a white will reflect heat. (you cant do an underlayment on the brick!) I don't know how well insulated your walls are. painted in a gray. new landscaping. If you choose to keep brick as is, go for a silver gray roof, lighter windows and lighter trim color. maybe a grayish white. I would remove the shutters and the dark door.
