The windows will be fine. Wait until the wall sheathing and interior drywall have been applied. You will be glad you have these windows.

They provide light and it looks like you still have privacy. For a dining area, you could even add the third window for a set of three, like the adjacent wall.

How high are the ceilings. The windows look really short to me, but I like tall windows to maximize whatever ceiling height you might have.

It looks fine to me, but I have no idea what furniture you plan to have in your dining room. Obviously, a table and chairs, but are you planning on a sideboard/buffet/china cabinet? If you have enough wall space for whatever piece of furniture will be there, don't obsess over the windows.

Also, it appears to me that the two windows have been installed, and they both open, to allow ventilation. Looks as if the other wall will have stationery windows. If so, you'll be glad to have two good-size windows for ventilation.

The two individual windows are the same height as the three-window spread. It would look odd otherwise and would always bug you. At least, it would always bug me.

I think they look perfect and will provide plenty of natural light. Just make sure you like the view :)

the ceiling is 10 ft. i asked the GC to scale down the three- window spread so that the middle (pic window) will be larger. It looks odd to me that the three are almost the same size...i was hoping to get more window view.

As for the other two windows, i do plan to put a buffet cabinet and perhaps that is why it bothers me because the overall length is 10 ft and minus the 2-windows, i am left for 4.5 of wall space....Thoughts?

The only time I have experienced a window overwhelming a room is when there was a 400 pound bear three feet outside of it. I wished the 4' x 7' window was only 1' x 1'.

There will be times when you wish they were larger and times when you wish they were smaller. They are most likely just right.

Do you plan to use any draperies on the windows? If so, it doesn't look like you have enough space on the left side of the left single window to "park" your drapes. That's a lesson I learned the hard way :/

last one. shorter wall, smaller windows, no drapes. but the windows do go up higher than yours. I realize this is a different sized room

I was going for the second to last picture look. Either a Art piece or a mirror....is it too late to change the height of the windows if he has already framed?

and reuse the same windows? he can move them up but he will have to reframe them. more time more money.

if you notice on that pic it also has a very thick window casing (trim). so if you plan on doing that, you'll gain some height.

Those windows are too short for your ceiling height. When the ceiling is upsized from 8 feet to 10 feet, the windows should have been scaled along with the ceiling.

Move the windows up now. The cost will be minimal to reframe, and it will give you flexibility for the size of buffet you use underneath. The windows don't need to be the same height as the windows on the other wall.

Yes, the window heads need to be higher. I'm not sure that simply moving up the window will be ok as the sill currently looks to be at about the right height.

Its currently 3 ft from the floor ...should it go higher? The GC says I won’t be able to open to window if I go any higher lol...

You need taller windows which means larger windows overall. Simply raising the originals to a higher position will not solve this problem and only creates yet another problem....now your newly raised windows will be too high off the floor. The windows are too small (meaning not tall enough) for your ceiling heights. Replacing what you already have installed there is the only way to accomplish what needs to be accomplished.

Perhaps you could add transoms above the present widows to raise them. If you have drapes in mind, it's much more difficult and less proportionate when there's too much sheetrock between the top of the window and the ceiling/rods.
What about the windows in the rest of the home, now would be the time to reconsider if they need adjustments....windows are important (at least I think so)
