Bedroom chair -- do you use yours?
Comments (30)I agree, a palm would probably look nice ... if someone else lived here! We aren't "plants" people. (I tend to kill them. Unintentionally, of course.) Plus, even if we were, that room is really pretty dark most of the time. I'd have to find a plant that prefers caves over light. And then it would get dusty, and then I would hate it, and then it would die. Bye-bye, plant. "Fake" would be even worse. DH would make fun of it incessently and it would get depressed and suicidal. Not the vibe I want in my MBR. :-) No, I think a chair or perhaps the leaning ladder is the way to go. But gk5040, you're right, there's not that much room so the chair has to be big enough but not too big. I remember long ago when my grandmother came to see my first apartment. She could not BELIEVE I didn't have a chair in my bedroom. "Where do you sit?" was her question. She could not fathom a bedroom without a chair. Maybe if it was on MY side I'd be inspired to actually go in there and sit. But there's not enough room over there for anything more than a dining room type chair. Must continue to haunt craigslist!...See MoreDo you have or use an upholstered chair in master bedroom?
Comments (38)We put an upholstered leather (and chrome) bench in our recently "renovated" master bedroom (pics to post someday!). I got it so we'd have a spot to sit while putting on our socks, shoes.... DH would always sit on our just-made bed (made-up by me, of course!) while tying his shoes, right on the nicely fluffed up bed pillows, and then walk away leaving them all smushed! Also, the spot where we have it just seemed to call for a bench! :) We don't use it for sitting and hanging out, except perhaps if one of us just sits down for a few minutes to chat while the other one is getting ready to go out or whatever. Surprisingly, neither of our cats has claimed it as her own!!! They both pretty much ignore it for some reason....See Moresitting area in bedroom
Comments (1)You hav beautiful natural lighting! I would center the bed infringement of the two windows, then put some side tables to balance it out. Keep the tv where it it’s. Where the bed is, put a couch and two chairs for some sitting area....See MoreSitting area/colors for youth bedroom
Comments (0)I would like to add a sitting area (loveseat?) to this youth bedroom but I'm at a loss in what color to go for. Unfortunately the beige carpet has to stay. The rest of the furniture on the other side of the room is white. Most couches/chairs are in single colors which is ok since I would struggle with matching the bedding to it which it has an abstract pattern of colors like coral, grey, blue, and white mostly. Would a rug help? Thank you!...See MoreRelated Professionals
