Need TV wall HELP!!

We were going to do built ins, but I think that corner fireplace is throwing us off. I hate the height of the tv. Any suggestions?

Hello! Yes, corner fireplaces are difficult to deal with. I know that the photos below are a little different than your house, but they can give you a good idea of how to achieve the look you want. First, move your TV up around 6". Next move the sconces flanking your mirror down about 6" to 1' so that they are centered with the mirror. I'm not sure of your furniture configuration, but I think that you should move your TV stand and TV over to the left so that it is centered with the wall, is that possible? Then flank your TV with things that are about equal height or maybe 1' higher, but that's it. Don't go too high or else your TV will look short again. Having a few items that are in the middle will help tie in the mirror which is placed the highest. Good luck!

Thanks celerygirl. I love what you did there. That is a great and simple arrangement. that TV unit is actually just an old 70s dresser my parents had and I painted and changed hardware to use for tv stand ;) I never thought about just putting the art on the sides like that instead of all around but I do like it so that may be an option for me. And I agree the chair doesn't go or match it just doesn't have a better spot right now. I might move it to bedroom just to get it out of family room though. Thanks again!!

So you stood on a chair to take a picture of the room. None of us get to do that when we enter your room. Take pictures from where you are standing always. You could fill up more of the wall with this piece. The dresser seems a bit small for the wall IMO.
