Master Bedroom Entry Issue. HELP!!
Comments (13)RL is wrong and right. There IS a window eliminated in the bedroom since there's only one exterior wall, but by all means the master should be on the other side, with windows on the back AND side. Simply flipping the master with the other two bedrooms will result in a much better plan: quieter and further from the garage and kitchen/laundry noise. There are other aspects of the plan which could also be improved. Perhaps it's not too late to bring in an architect...See MoreLiving room entry door layout issue
Comments (6)Thank you so much for your input. I thought putting tv there (where the soccer goal is) would be a bad idea since that’s the “hall way” to 4 bedrooms - 2 on the right of the goal and 2 on the left. So traffic would constantly pass the tv. As for the garage / we would actually take down a wall and have it completely incorporated in home with the same tile of current floor installed. We would still leave about 5 feet of “garage” enclosed you be accessed outside by garage door. I feel with 2 kids and this awkward space more “living space” is needed. Additionally the tv would be installed there (no tv in current space). Was thinking a sofa and 2 chairs ? Pull it together with a rug etc. Obviously my walls are plain and need life but figured getting the furniture sorted would be first then accent everything else. Any helps !...See MoreFront Entry issues.
Comments (6)Yes, paint the garage door to match the front door. Don't paint the landscape bricks. Properly installed, a handrail is not going to "cause damage". It will be a permanent fixture. You could get a paintable vinyl one or wood or metal, one that looks good with the house, and also paint it to match the doors or leave it white - would add an inviting touch to the entryway....See MoreNeed Help Understanding Roof Design - Concerned with Possible Issue
Comments (29)Sorry for my late reply. At this point we only have a floor plan and no other elevation. Now and thanks to this wonderfull comunity I am understanding it a little bit more and hopefully will be able to ask good questions to them. Now I can see these upgrades were going to add cost us. @cpartist the lot front is 50ft wide (50×150ft) and with the township regulation we can only built a 41 ft wide house. The garage is 20 ft wide, our foyer ( long. Hallway. :( :(..) 7'4" and the study is 12 ft. Wide. the house will have cement board as siding and the developer needs to approve, layout, colour and material ( already dictated by them. ) I have to appologize as I didn't understand the request for more information. If I may, what is the pitch would you suggest? I will post the changes after talking with them. Thanks again...See Moremnmamax3
