Quality Sleeper Sofa
Comments (22)Dear NYC LOVER, When I read your original posting asking for advice on a sleeper sofa/chaise I was happy to see it was the exact same thing I am looking for- style, size and everything! It's funny because I actually just came home from Jensen Lewis where I found the Cadet by Cerrito. It is the one I like the best, but it is just so expensive. I saw one at Macy's- Portofino by Max Home for only $1200. It seems comfortable and has a great flip-flop chaise so you can switch sides, but I am scared of the quality and I can't find much information about it online. I wonder why some couches are close to $4000 and others are only around $1000. I am very curious to know why you chose the Tyler by Carter. Did you see it at Jensen Lewis? I looked at it online and love the look, but what are the dimensions? I couldn't tell from the website. It seems like it might be 117" with the chaise. I can't go over 110." Also, you mentioned you saved $1000 over retail. How? Do you know if it is possible to find the Cerrito sofa online for less? I must decide soon if I should just buy the Cerrito or keep looking. Here is a link that might be useful: Max Home sofa...See MoreRound Robin anyone?
Comments (40)Vicky, I admire your persistence. I anxiously await the first day of school every year. Once upon a time my husband and I would take that day off to spend together and relish in the fact that our daughters were now the responsibility of the Public School System for several hours a day. I swear, every 1st day of school my blood pressure would drop about 40 points after a full summer of working all day and worrying about what my girls were getting into without our supervision. This year, I'm going to try to relish every minute because my youngest will graduate in May. Then she's off to New York City to try and make her way on the Great White Way. (Now, exactly what kind of threat is that?? lol) So, since you're so good with the parts of English, can you teach an old, gray mare? I can write pretty well, but I couldn't identify the parts of speech to win a quilt! Odessa...See MoreHelp with sofa brand/selection
Comments (6)Gee, I guess Patricia's comment was pretty bad :/ it was taken down before I could read it..lol. Anyways..I have pretty thick skin. So on to brighter things :) . I do have a flex steel recliner and I do love that brand, it sits very comfortably. There is only one furniture store that carries King Hickory and they usually only have a couple of sofas on their showroom floor so I do plan to check that brand out, thanks for the suggestion pink_peony. The sofa I have does have down wrapped and I do know that I want a firmer cushions with attached backs. The cushion on my current sofa are not and are not very supportive. The sofa has been a good one, it's comfortable for lounging and watching a movie etc but is more for a younger demographic, I need one I can get up off of easily..lol....See MoreDo you like your 22” or 24” seat depth sofa/sectional?
