I have been reading this forum for a while, but never posted. Thanks to all of you who have provided useful insight. I'm in the middle of updating my very white 90s kitchen. I had to write b/c the posts are really SO helpful. And I feel its time to reciprocate. I had a interior decorator help me choose the white/cream for my cabinets. It was an agonizing decision. She recommended "LINEN WHITE" by BMoore with a nice brownish glaze. I am very pleased and would highly recommend the color to anyone looking for something in between cream and white. For a while I really wanted the color "simple irresistible, also by BM. But the decorator convinced me to go with something whiter and let the glaze add the depth. I'm so glad I did. It was worth the $50.00 for that advice!

Here are the hue/value/chroma color notations for many of the colors on the SW strip. Just because colors are on the same strip is no guarantee that they will indeed harmonize and/or in the same hue family. Incredible White - 1.59Y hue/ 9 value / 1 chroma Agreeable Gray - 2.34Y hue / 8 value / 1 chroma Anew Gray - 1.52Y hue / 7 value / 1 chroma Mega Greige - 9.96YR hue / 7 value / 1 chroma Anonymous - 2.89Y hue / 5 value / 1 chroma Mega Greige belongs to the Yellow-Red hue family (orange) Given the above information, I would agree with nosoccermom that SW Anonymous might be the better choice to coordinate with Incredible White, Anew and Agreeable Gray. Because Mega Greige's notation indicates it could have orange overtones. I'll attach a color wheel so you can plot the colors according to hue family if you want to. P.S. Many people are unable to perceive the difference between pink overtones and orange overtones and will confuse pinkish and peachiness. It's important to know if the color characteristic is indeed pink (red hue family) or peach (orange hue family) because the light never gets confused - the light is boss. So you have to KNOW what hue family a color belongs to. And you KNOW what hue family a color belongs to by measuring it to capture its spectral data (its fingerprint or DNA) and converting that spectral data into a color notation - a hue/value/chroma notation.

Hi! Yes, I think Bona high traffic. Or maybe that was the sealer they used. I think they used Dura Seal. Just found this sample sheet in my kitchen draw. We used the middle sample. QC 11 Hope this helps! We put a matte finish on the floors. Very little shine to it. It’s great but note that if you go that route. You can’t really scoot things that would scratch across the wood. It removes the matte and you will see a sheen streak in the right lighting or angle. Just a heads up if you go that route. Not too big of a deal, if you know in advance. We pic up and slide anything a tad heavy. Pads for bar stools etc.. Best of luck! Lmk if you have any more questions 😊

I am struggling with this too, but my cabinets are painted SW Extra White (according to the manufacturer) although they look more like the Pure White swatch. If you want white quartz, the trick is to get a quartz that has a background with a similar white. I have not had luck with big box stores, but a countertop showroom nearby seems to think they can find an option. Go to countertop showrooms specializing in quartz and bring a sample of your cabinetry (not just the pure white paper swatch). Then try to match the white in different lighting. If you are open to different backsplash options or countertop colors, you will have more options. I chose a very specific backsplash with a pink-beige undertone, so my best bet is to match the cabinet color rather than the backsplash. I hope to find a solid white that will work. There are multiple quartz patterns that are not solid but have different shades of white for the background. Some of those may work for you. I actually have a quartz sample that is whiter than my cabinets! I have to go a shade creamier. In a photo of a white kitchen, you may not be able to tell what the specific white color is. So you can look at any pic of white cabinets and quartz counter to get an idea of what it will look like. You have to go into a showroom to see if it’s a good match, then take a sample home to view it in different lighting with your cabinets. Just a warning - I saw a recent quartz installation with a seam and the two whites did not match. So if you need more than one slab or a seam, it might be a good idea to select your slabs in person.
