Insulation for a new house - alternative to spray foam open cell...

We are in the process of building a house. Below is the standard insulation package offered by the builder.

Insulation

• All exterior walls are fiberglass R-21 insulated with air sealing package• All second floor Ceiling areas to be blown-in fiberglass R-49 insulated

We have an option to upgrade to spray foam for $10k. Below are the detail.

Install Icynene open cell foam insulation, 5.5 in R-20 in exterior walls and rear wall of basement. Attic walls 5.5 in R-20, Roof 10.5 in R-38, Basement perimeter at foundation R-20 fiberglass batt,

I am a bit worried about icynene as we have a little one and possible toxicity level increase in the house. Also, we would need to install an air exchanged which also adds an additional cost to the build.

Is it worth it to just keep the original standard insulation package? Any way to improve the standard package by adding R value etc?

We live in a somewhat cold climate in eastcoast near DC.

Thank you for all your expert opinions!!!!!
