Joe Biden calls for Trump’s impeachment for the first time

Carro

Biden's attack on Trump was met with muted gasps and murmurs from the audience. Calling for the impeachment and removal of his competition, Trump, landed like a lead balloon.

And Biden looked like he knew it.

It will be interesting to see if he doubles down or backs off.

Not a good look for a Presidential candidate to call for his competition to be removed from office, instead of beating him in the voting booth.

Like a man.

Joe Biden calls for Trump’s impeachment for the first time

"Joe Biden — whose family is at the center of why the House is in full-blown impeachment proceedings — came out in favor of President Trump’s removal from office for the first time on Wednesday.

The ex-vice president’s dramatic announcement comes ahead of next week’s fourth Democratic presidential debate, at which Trump’s potential impeachment is expected to loom large.

“Donald Trump has violated his oath of office, betrayed this nation and committed impeachable acts," Biden said during a campaign event in Rochester, N.H. "He should be impeached.”

trump didn’t beat Hillary “like a man.” he got major help from Russia and clearly doesn’t think he can beat a dem candidate in 2020, hence the Ukraine shakedown.

Joe Biden: Trump 'should be impeached'

by Naomi Lim | October 09, 2019 01:53 PM

President Trump should be impeached, according to Joe Biden.

After initially supporting the impeachment inquiry by House Democrats, the former vice president dropped the condition of an investigation to join White House hopefuls Sens. Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris, and Bernie Sanders in backing the forcible removal of the sitting president.

“Donald Trump has violated his oath of office betrayed this nation, and committed impeachable acts," Biden said in New Hampshire. "To preserve our Constitution, our democracy, our basic integrity, he should be impeached."

Delaware's senator for 36 years evoked New Hampshire's "live free or die" motto as he spoke about George Washington's warning to remain vigilant again foreign interference in domestic politics. He said Trump had now invited Russia, Ukraine, and China to meddle in our elections.

"We all laughed when he said he could stand on Fifth Avenue and shoot someone and get away with it," Biden said. "No joke! He's shooting holes in the Constitution and we cannot let him get away with it."

Last week, Trump told reporters on Thursday morning that if the Ukrainian government "were honest about it, they'd start a major investigation into the Bidens."

"Likewise, China should start an investigation into the Bidens because what happened in China is just about as bad as what happened with Ukraine," the president said on the White House lawn.

Trump's recommendation comes as House Democrats continue their impeachment inquiry into whether he improperly leveraged military aid to pressure Ukraine into digging up political dirt on Joe Biden and his second son, Hunter Biden.

Trump, amid his 2016 campaign, came under intense scrutiny for his appeal to Russia. Critics said it was a call for a foreign government to hack Hillary Clinton, his opponent at the time, and interfere in the election. The president said his comments were intended as a joke.

“I will tell you this: Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing,” he said. “I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press.”

More repeating debunked falsehoods.

  1. Obama did not “do nothing”.
  2. Russia most certainly did help trump win.

Must to tough when you have to keep repeating falsehoods.

Impeach him is fine with me. The sooner he is rendered impotent the better for US. He is a criminal and he is getting worse. Our allies will abandon us because of him.

LOL, if Russia helped Trump win, how did they let Hillary get 3 million more votes?

Fox poll 55% Trump should be impeached. Only 4% of those think he shouldn’t be removed from office.

Investigating is not "fooling around".

Sorry but elections have consequences. Nancy is in charge and she'll do it her way. Too bad, so sad.
