Info. on Northland Rosarium roses?
Comments (9)I ordered from Northland roses about 4 years ago, as it was one of the only places I could find the wonderful old hybrid tea Silver Jubilee and one of the Romanticas (I forgot which one). Silver Jubilee was a strong healthy band and it has thrived in my zone 5 garden. The Romantica was a smaller band, and the owner of Northland Rosarium refused to charge me for it because he felt it wasn't up to his usual quality of roses. That's the kind of service you can probably still expect. I'd order from then any time. BTW, Silver Jubilee is a wonderfully hardy, disease resistant hybrid tea (I don't usually bother with them otherwise)....See MoreMy rose order from Northland Rosarium....beautiful :)
Comments (7)I wish I could have ordered from Carol at Northland this year but she didn't have what I was looking for... tons of others that I want but not what I needed for this year. I ordered from her for the last 2 years and was amazed every time I opened a box... most had buds, some had blooms, and all were at least 2' tall and healthy as could be. I had to keep saying to myself, "These are bands..." :) It set me up for real disappointment this year when I ordered from someone else. All of the plants I ordered arrived well packaged and healthy, but as puny as could be. I will have these plants in pots for at lest 2 years before they go into the ground. I guess I shouldn't be disappointed, that's how I always expected bands to be, it's just that now that I've had Carol's bands... there's no comparison. Comments (4)What a beautiful day for a garden tour! Sunny and warm, but not too hot and lots of shady spaces to sit and take a break, too. The gazebos, tunnels, arbors, etc. and so many nice trees. Just a wonderful garden :) And, lots of fun going through the greenhouses, too. We did see lots of lovely roses, but we were most excited that the two we bought (sight unsmelled LOL) were so fragrant! Mom had purchased Golden Celebration and I had chosen Cottage Rose...so very excited that they turned out to be so beautiful and fragrant, in real life. They'll be open in September for a few days, just to see the hydrangeas, so we'll be planning another trip, then. Not only beautiful flowers, but so many good ideas for laying out the gardens, themselves. I really want a formal rose garden, now...with a deer fence! LOL...See MoreNorthland Rosarium Sale 15%
Comments (4)I have Johann Strauss in my cart! I've seen it at Garden Valley Ranch and I am so excited to see Northland offering it. I'm waiting to see if they add any more to their inventory before checking out. Does it seem like they have less of a selection this year compared to prior years?...See MoreKristine LeGault 8a pnw
