Mine is from a party for a former neighbor/still friend who is turning 99 tomorrow! She is in a nursing home now for the past 3-1/2 years. She is sharp as a tack and in pretty good health for all her years.

This is a photo of a raccoon that my dog raised. When I rehabbed wildlife, I seldom raised raccoons because my rehab partner did raccoons, and I raised possums. But she was out of town one weekend, and animal control brought me a baby raccoon. I had a hard time getting her to take a bottle, but I had a dog that had puppies a year previous (before I got her) and she let the little raccoon nurse, and tho she had no milk, once the raccoon nursed the dog a little, she would take the bottle. However, after nursing the raccoon for several days, the dog got milk again, and raised the raccoon. The raccoon bonded to the dog, but did not bond to me. She was a "wild" raccoon to me, but she got along with her adoptive mother just fine.
