Comparison of do-it-yourself replacement windows?
Comments (5)There are absolutely no pluses about building with stellar. 2 years later after moving into our house we regret ever falling for the sales spiel. We already spent over $500 000 on that house that was built to poor standard that the real estate agent we asked to value our house said that we would be better off pulling it down and starting again rather than selling and moving. We should have raised voice when we observed that they didnâÂÂt use gravel to elevate the foundation before they dug the trenches. Again we had to spent a lot of money on replacing the vinyl windows because they start to rotten after a season. We were really disappointed by realizing how low quality products were used by them. We had to spend another $1000 dollars for the widow replacement since we hired window choice (Mississauga) for all the works. Polaris might be a good option for you so consider them. While selecting a window replacement Company, be so sure about their reputation so that you will not have to regret afterwards....See Moreremodeling a kitchen to possibly sell, what appliances
Comments (5)do you have Ikea close? many hi end kitchens use Ikea-say white or light shaker cabs....You could get a very nice kitchen without beaucoup money spent.Use standard appliance sizes and work the openings nicely into the design. keep it upscale but neutral-be sure and get good lighting-backsplash can add a little something extra. Then the people will find it perfectly fine for some time without a compelling need to pull it out. But in time, people do like to do a kitchen their way: by doing a really expensive remodel it's a waste in a sense....you can't know what walls they'd break into or if they'd see a better layout for their needs. In many ways-just leaving as is since you are that close to selling makes sense, but with what you describe it's understandable to want to do something. But a lot of details and stuff takes so much time in planning-that's why a simpler route might work the best....use all the Ikea storage features and it would be a very nice kitchen to move into. It's a tough call as to what to do/how much time and money to spend....See Morelong skinny kitchen possible remodel help
Comments (19)Thanks Tracie and all. Below are the kitchen plans and include the back hall. I don't think putting the cooktop on the oven wall would work because that is a traffic way. But, a frig wouldn't be a deal breaker there despite the island barrier. The red areas are posts that cannot move. This is another view of the home we are considering This is the kitchen I am moving from -- Below are a few ideas I have found scouring the internets. Comments (15)OK. How about something like this. The island seating would be on the DR side out of any work areas. I could also put a microwave in the island. Not sure yet about the wall support so for now there is nothing but I assume between the kitchen designer and architect (engineer?) they will tell me what I should do to make sure my house does not fall down. I guess I would prefer to NOT to have columns but I am guessing that would be a lot more expensive. Not sure what and how to layout cabs in the island. This is what I came up with so far. The micro could be in the cab facing the dishwasher wall. I could put fake fronts on the cab on the LR side on the left. On the cabinet side facing sink I would put long handle to hang towels as I hate having them on the stove handle now. Thank you....See Morelive_wire_oak
