Mushroom ID please.
Comments (6)Here are a couple more pics. These are growing in an area I mulched last fall. They are near my water faucet, which always leaks a little bit, and keeps the soil moist. The caps are not shiny when they are dry, but any water turns them shiny and slimy. The piece of wood this one is on is about 3 inches wide. They are growing near a mature pink mimosa tree, but this is the first year I have seen these. I think they are probably coming from the mulch. The large one in the first photo is about as big as they get....See Moremushroom ID please

Comments (3)Likely NOT hallucinogenic, but I believe it's some type of bolete, if it has pores, rather than gills. I really know of no edible mushrooms common to FL. Isn't there a mushroom & fungi forum here? You might try asking there.......See MoreBlue mushroom, please ID
Comments (10)Mike, Mike, Mike!! Be careful, please ;-)) Dunno rhizo.......they look superficially similar to me. And if you didn't have a real morel close by to compare, I could see how mistakes would happen!! My dad could pick 'em and he was never fooled but I never ate any that he had gathered either :-)...See Moreperen.all Zone 5a Ontario Canada
