Wow thanks for the input, guys! While I think the green works, it's just not my thing. I have played with gray browns, taupes, and think they look nice. I definitely want to stay with neutral earthy tones but I'm not feeling the green. I am also conflicted about the tudor-style, or board and batten, trim. Do we paint it the same color as the siding to reduce the busy look, and perhaps paint only the perimeter trim a different color? This was a question our painter asked because it's sort of in style right now. I think the beige garage door is what irks me the most. We did consider a new garage door but decided against the cost of it for now. Our painters are coming by with some taupes and dark brown samples tomorrow, so keep the ideas coming!

I’m looking to paint the exterior of my home. I am pretty sure I want the columns, fascia and soffits white (but which white?) and I like blues. I’m drawn to colors like SW Dutch Tile Blue or Granite Peak. I don’t want a red white and blue house though. I don’t want to paint the brick - too permanent and we like some contrast. We are building shutters for the small leftmost window. There are a million exterior doors on this house and the back is all hardy board, no brick. We have a new roof and gutters coming in weathered shadow and musket brown, respectively. I like the thought of white in the stucco, but I’m afraid of it being too bright and too modern for my traditional home. And I have no clue what to do with the window trim.

No ideas without you posting pictures of the house. You cannot just describe colors and expect people to provide you with a solution.

Beautiful home! See what pros say but I can imagine black window railings and accessories , white window trim ledges and accessible beige on the body. Good luck!
