LR Window treatments, sliding door and windows

We completed a remodel, new double pane windows, wood look tile, etc. Currently, we have “paper blinds“ supplied by the window company. I had the old school plastic verticals, (which I despised) with fabric covered cornices. Before that, I had drapes that pulled with the stack on the right between the slider and window, on the left for the window in the left corner. I love light and do not desire that fabric bunch in the corner. My husband and I like a clean, minimalist design that filters light, yet in the evening need some privacy since neighbors are close.

I like cellular shades, but on a slider?? Please help. Thanks!!

Drapery panels are an option for the windows.

Levolor makes panel blinds. Available through their online site or at Home Depot or Lowe’s. These two stores have installers (hired separately) and also 25% off sales four times a year.

These are Rollease Acmeda motorized shades. They were around $6000. I really loved the Lutron motorized shades (they are really quiet) but they were going to run $10K and I just couldn't justify the extra $4K.

Unless you need privacy at night, you don't need anything on the French doors. And yes, there is not a lot of room. If you really want something, then do white linen sheers that will cover part of the stationary doors, and I'd use two separate rods, one for each set of doors. They'd have to stack back on the right sides because the left hand doors are the operable ones, and may look awkward.

That’s a good point with the built in blinds. We had considered doing that, but were worried they could break over time and would not be able to be easily replaced. Now I’m wishing we would’ve just done it… One long rod across the whole wall might be a little too much considering we open the window blinds often to let the sunlight in. I’m totally fine with keeping just the blinds for the windows and putting up curtains for the sliding door. This is probably the hardest design dilemma we’ve had with the house!

Outside mount cellular shades on the windows and a matching vertical cellular shade on the door.

Hey There: inside mount (!) pleated or honeycomb shades for the windows are great and very functional. But this doesn't work with your sliding door...so the only option that I see are vertical blinds staged to the right side of the sliding door. On the left side you have an outlet and switch, so this is not an option. You need something sliding on a sliding door, everything else will make it inconvenient to use. Panel blinds to the left will also work...but they will block 1/4 of your door all the time... One last thing - the fabrics should match or being the same...we do offer this option for some fabrics that are available across different window treatment styles.

Thank you BeverlyFLADeziner for the drape illustration. That side of the house takes heavy afternoon sun so I wonder how thick the drapes would have to be. Your illustration would look beautiful with sheers, if they provide enough evening privacy.
