Curtain style and color suggestions needed.
Comments (40)If you don't live by the sea or have any ties to the ocean it lacks context, and isn't cute enough to outweigh the incongruity. JMHO! I do like your desire add a color in the red/pink/orange/coral family. Thibaut has an oriental toile that has a strong color background with a black and white medallion design. It comes in red, I know (we have wallpaper in the pattern) and a vivid apple green, which would be fantastic In your laundry room....See MoreRug suggestions to go with these curtains?
Comments (37)Thank you all!! I think these curtains make me five shades of happy. : ) I'm glad you like them and think that they work well with our couch, lamp, and artwork. I can hardly wait to get some beadboard wallpaper up and fix that silly ceiling (air mail!). DH is planning to vault the ceiling and then we want to plank it. Soon... I don't know my3dogs, you have quite the prowess with bargain hunting yourself. I remember some pretty neat lamps and rugs you've found. And those island legs from a bed frame were quite clever. ; ) Aw, you sure can, Ida Claire. Do you have any links to your old house? I'd love to see it. I remember seeing the kitchen recently and I'd enjoy seeing more. Cottage style is my favorite. I have to be careful because I can swing more formal and traditional, but it's not what makes me the most comfortable. Boopadoo, maybe someone else can do the remembering for you. I don't recall seeing that dining room, but sure would like to see it. Just to confirm: Does the green rug really need to leave? It's ok if it does, I can use it elsewhere. But, I want to be absolutely sure before I go about buying another one....See MoreNeed curtain suggestions for family room
Comments (17)I think in your kitchen you need more contrast and color. Easiest way is to change your hardware to black (or color it black). You have warm colors in your kitchen and cool colors in you living room. You can use the warm colors like red or you can use cool color like blue or purple. It depends which color you like the most. For example you can use blue for shades in your kitchen and some kitchen decoration (as long as you have the same color in you in your living room) then add something orange, red, or Gold (warm-similar to your cabinet's color) as an accent to your living room. So you need more warm color in your living room and more cool colors or contrast colors in your kitchen. I hope it helps....See MoreCurtain suggestions
