Oh well, maybe my Target stackable racks are what I will continue with. I have 4-5 of these ... topped with a (so old I can't remember their source) tilted wire rack. I prefer the tilted rack shoes because they're easier to see, whereas the white target flat-racks kinda allow the shoes to hide. What I end up doing: I bring the seasonal shoes "up" to the tilted racks and leave the out-of-season things down on the bottom. It's not fancy, but I'm happy enough with this system. My boots don't fit in this storage system; I keep them tucked under my clothes on the hanging rack. but I hadn't thought of putting shoes up there If I ever really re-do my closet, I'll put shirts "down" because I can tell exactly what they are from looking at the shoulders /can reach the hangers without kneeling down. And I'll put shoes and folded items "up" because it'll be easier to reach them. I think free-range shoes are much happier than shoes cooped up in cubby systems and boxes. But I am happier if my shoes are well organized!

I have a 5 head LED track light all 4000K bulbs I can even aim the heads to see something clearer if I need to. A single light will not work in an 11' long space I aslo have no ide how you can have hanging space on both sides of a6' space and be able to have walk space . Maybe I just misunderstood the layout 4000 K mimics daylight and IMO is the best for getting true colors . I have a big window in my closet and have found at night the colors do not change with the 4000K

@Nichole Campos.....yes, but I didn't have the mesh drawers and I prefer that air gets circulated through the mesh. Also I wasn't in the homes for more than 5 years, so I don't know long term. One thing I would NEVER do again is pull down racks. (a home closet that wasn't a California closet system) I had a 12 ft ceiling in the master closet and thought is was a great idea to take advantage of the tall space. Those pull down racks have a weight limit. If there's a next time, I would just do a fixed pole and use a hanger retriever pole to access. Honestly, if I had to do anything over again, I would choose my current closet system.

I prefer swinging doors when possible (because I like to hang things on the back of doors), but our current house has bifold doors on 5 closets, and they have been fine. The advantage over sliding doors is that you can open both sides at the same time (and they are flush to each other when closed). How wide is the opening?
