Darker gray to compliment BM Modern Gray
Comments (2)I did my old kitchen in white upper and dark gray lower. It was tremendous! The painter who did them liked it so much he began to suggest it to other people (it was in Vermont and he had never seen two-tone cabinets before.) We used white for the uppers, as I said and a BM color called Temptation. It's a dark charcoal. I wish I had a photo on my computer of it. We also had two accent walls in our adjacent family room painted that color. By the way, a very neutral, amazing shade of light gray is BM Winter Solstice. It's perfectly neutral; it doesn't sway too magenta or too cyan as gray paint can often do. One last thing: I would consider adding a frosted or textured glass door to that pantry door on the right next to the fridge. It would lighten up the space a bit. Good luck!...See Moreshould grey carpet be darker than grey walls in a bedroom?
Comments (2)should it? No. can it? yes. you can have lighter carpet too. depends on how dark the walls are going to be. if you're doing a light gray, then it stands to reason that the gray carpet will probably be a darker shade, or else you'd have nearly white carpet. It all depends on what you want and what other furniture is going in the room...See MoreDarker color for interior doors that goes with BM Edgecomb Grey?
Comments (7)A new build we saw had all the trim and interior doors painted a taupe instead if white and it was beautiful! I went smaller scale on our house and did just door and door trim but still love the look. We also have edgecomb gray walls and this door color is Behr Roadside. I do like the door trim painted the same color as the door. The house we saw had SW Megataupe(?) trim....See MoreThinking outside the box
Comments (5)Well, we went ahead and painted the walls SW Alpaca ( light grey), trim white, and the doors SW Dovetail (darker grey). I did the doors with foam roller and foam brush. Myself and the 3 guys love how it all turned out. We had help from some of our union members with all the walls. We’ve gotten nothing but positive feedback from those that come to the office. The photos only show the main hallway, we have a front entry area that’s about 10 x 10 (did the front door, it’s the only door in that space) kitchenette area, bathroom doors, , and a back conference room with an additional office and rear entry door. We figured it’s only paint and our time and it paid off. Now to reconfigure everything that was on the walls prior to painting....See MoreKDC Virtual Color Consulting
