No, I‘m sorry but they don’t go together at all. The cool gray floor bit quickly went away because it’s a hard color to live with for the average 20 year lifespan of flooring in a home. Getting things to work with it is difficult when the trend is over. The coldness of color in what is supposed to be a warm natural material is at odds with the strong resurgence of natural wood tones.

I suggest choosing a medium wood tone. No fussy patterns either. That is what has had the most staying power over the last 200 years.

The Hunter in the first pic looks like an entirely different color than 4th pic. Like not even close.

I don't think the gray tones of the floor go well with your other choices. The Ceniza, in particular is so light and ethereal that it seems totally off balance with the counters and especially the counter. The Bellver Natural is slightly better (the warmer color plays better with the other elements), but if it is as light as in your first pic it also isn't going to balance the counter well. And with the cabinets and counter leaning quite warm, the gray tones don't seem a good fit.

Assuming that the actual color of the Hunter is somewhere between the two pics, it looks like it leans lavender/purple. I think it's the worst of the three.

The countertops and cabinets go well together, but you need a lighter, warm toned floor with minimal variation.

I agree that the wood look floor tile and the countertop material compete with each other. Too much going on. Why not a solid color tile to let the countertop have center stage?

No, they don't go, I think you can find flooring that coordinates better. But that is some crazy cool stone! Kudos to you for going with a bold choice!

Agree, no grey anything with those cupboards. The 3 items you have chosen would make the kitchen "extremely" dark.

I came close to putting a gray floor - similar color - in my kitchen 2 years ago. Thankfully, my color consultant talked me out of it for the same reasons mentioned above - it doesn't go well with many other colors, particularly warm wood cabinets, and if you don't have gray floors in the rest of your house, it will make your kitchen stand out from the rest of the house (in a bad way).

I would not put a gray floor with those pretty cabinets. They just do.not.work.together. Period. Find a compatible slightly darker or slightly lighter wood color.

There's a reason while mid-tone brown site-finished floors have been used for centuries. It goes with everything and is truly timeless. Forget the trendy floors.

OK, thank you all for your help! We are definitely not going with grey now. I like the idea of mid-tone brown with some amber in the color, but are still at a loss of which one exactly. If anyone has any other specific recommendations of brands/styles that have something in this realm -like beverly posted- so we have options, it would be appreciated.

Go for a light white oak floor if you're using the wood cabinets. The floor you picked is too busy with your fusion quartzite. Look at Kahrs.com . That's what I used although I picked a medium colored white oak since my island color is dark. I used a similar quartzite to yours. Notice how the floor on mine doesn't compete with the quartzite so the quartzite stays the star?

Where are you looking for flooring? Is price a factor? Have you got a Floor and Decor, Home Depot or Lowes close by? We can make recommendations once the total universe has been limited by location $$ etc.

Just chiming in to say that Fusion was the VERY first quartzite we fell in love with - although we ultimately didn't go with it. It's Painting Beautiful!

does it have to be a wood look porcelain? what about a 24x24 porcelain tile in more of a blue gray that picks up the tones in the fusion?

There is NOTHING dated about those counters. If you don't like a busy countertop that's fine but don't assume because you don't like it, the rest of us think the same as you.

There is a place for both those of us who prefer a counter with interesting patterns and for those of us who prefer a more quiet counter. Neither is dated and neither is wrong if it works with the style of the house.

My counters which are a slightly lighter version of what Ryan chose are the star of my kitchen and not one person came in and thought they were too busy or dated.

Ina bunker, if you had read through the thread, you'd see that I had posted pictures of my kitchen with almost the same quartzite as the OP and with medium stained wood floors.

And if you spend some time on this forum, you'll learn that I dislike gray. Period.

My parents are doing a major downsize and gray has become the bane of my mother's existence this past month! They are using a production builder and most of the color choices are gray, gray and gray! Really! I don't think she has ever used gray in her whole life and is doing the best she can to avoid it!

chispa I figured the grey and white trend was waning. Guess not. I have notjing against it, just not my prefernce.

I didn't like the gray trend when RH first debuted it over 10 years ago and I still haven't warmed to the look.
