With your tv and beautiful fireplace being the focal point of the room, a couch in front of the tv would look nice, maybe light grey? I would move the chairs across each other on either side of the couch. I don’t know the depth of the room, you would need to measure to make sure you can fit a couch comfortably, along with the chairs. Adding a rug, two small end tables at the end of the couch, and a coffee table should do it nicely!

White sofas would definitely glam it up but would probably be a disaster with 3 dogs. Try a light gray sofa and use pillows to add the glam. Maybe add a bench in front of the fireplace with chairs and sofa flanking the fireplace.

Thanks everyone. I thought about light gray fabric sofas as well! It’s just me and my yorkie that’s why I wanted to do all white. It’s big enough to hold 2 sofas one to replace the orange sofa and one in front of the tv but I was worried about blocking my fireplace.

I would do white leather sofas. Why not do what you love? Just don't read the newspaper on it.

Do you really need 2 sofas? I would stick with 1 sofa and the 2 chairs, and not put any of them against the walls.

I like the white chairs a lot, and the navy fabric sofa Reese’s posted would look great paired with a nice rug in this gorgeous room!

My white leather is 12 yrs old and BTW has stood up very well with 3 dogs. I have never had a stain on it but none of our friends wear indigo dyed jeans and many have told me it will stain. We hve however had many red wine spills with no problem. The newspaper has never been an issue I clean tem maybe 3 x a year and wipe up spills when they happen

I think the white sofa will look great in your space and the color scheme you have works as well. I just tried to put a white sofa in a cream space and it's just awful.

I don't like those styles of sofas with the ratchet back; something to malfunction. They are not classic and their look will be out of style long before Patricia's 12 year mark. Buy a classic one like a chesterfield for enduring style that never fades.

Another no vote on the white sofa style in your photo. A Chesterfield sofa would work in a modern/contemporary room.

I like the chandelier. Your current barstools are great also.

With the black accent wall, I would not do the black shag rug.

Also look at sofas available in white Crypton fabric. It is bulletproof and can be found in very nice, soft weaves. I had my sectional recovered in a light beige crypton and promptly spilled a full glass of red wine on it (tripped on the coffee table leg with a full glass in my hand). It cleaned up with water and a little dawn dishwashing soap. Completely. This is my fabric, but they (and other companies have white choices)
